Good food, touch of brazil. Is the place for Brazilian food, music and other odds and ends in New Jersey. Parking can be iffy.

This neighborhood in Newark is home to a huge Portuguese population and it is reflected in the numerous restaurants such as Iberia, Fornos, Tony de Caneca, Spain, and Don Pepe to name a few. If you have the chance to visit....make sure you eat!

This used to be the only place in New Jersey where you could be sure of getting good, traditional Spanish/Portuguese food, but now restaurants equal to those in Ironbound are in every corner of the state. So the uniqueness and cachet are gone. Still good food and good value. Parking can be difficult on weekends.
