I have stayed here several times and in my opinion is worth every penny! Staff is great, the food in the restaurant is fantastic! This is where I stay every time I come to the city! If you arent familiar with the area GPS can mess you up just a bit. I will be back for sure

We stayed here for two nights to avoid in-town NYC prices while visiting our kid in college. Rates are pretty good -- and the relatively newly refurbished rooms (~2 years old) are more spacious and nicely equipped than in the city. They also cost significantly less. (Our way into downtown was to drive to Jersey City, park near Journal Square and take the PATH into town. It adds about 45 minutes each way -- but can save you $150-$200 a night for a hotel in Manhattan.)

The only two flies in the ointment: don't bother asking for housekeeping to bring you an extra bar of soap or an additional towel. We asked -- three times, once in person at the front desk and it just never happened.

The second issue is WiFi. From about 9pm until 11pm, the Internet is slow. This isn't a problem with WiFi -- it's a problem with a slow connection. For some reason, this hotel has been cheap and not rented a big enough pipe to handle all the traffic it needs to handle.

Otherwise, a pretty good deal for under $130/night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room opposite the highway to minimize road noise from the 24 hours a day busy highway. Pla...

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great hotel! I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the address was wrong on the website and it was VERY difficult to find on GPS. Otherwise, I would definitely stay here again with my family. I highly recommend it!

For Holiday Inn, this hotel is below standard. The room itself is just OK (good beds and shower) and clean. However, TV did not function properly and the airco was noisy. Breakfast does not include coffee (never experienced before). Personnel was not very friendly or helpful. Service is very slow.

After reading all the reviews for this hotel, I had quite high expectations. I stayed two nights with my husband in early October, but we were disappointed that experience did not match expectations we had. The hotel reception staff were quite helpful and quick to assist with our transportation needs. Housekeeping on the other hand is a different story as each time we returned to find that room had not been cleaned properly. Telephone in our room also was not working and though we lodged a complaint and were promised that maintenance would fix it, this was never done. Breakfast also is a very basic buffet with little variety. We practically had the same thing for breakfast three mornings in a row. On the bright side, the bed was nice and comfy and the beddings very soft. The shower also was perfect though the bath tub was a bit dated. Hotel does have complimentarily wifi which worked very well.

All in all a good experience. I used points for the stay and was upgraded to a suite upon arrival thanks to my IHG platinum status. The little time I did spend at the hotel was enjoyable. The staff was very welcoming and the breakfast I ordered was good as well.

The location really isn't all that great. Again, it's an airport hotel so you can't expect that much. I used Uber to get to and from Newark Penn station, which was by far the easiest way. To go via the airport shuttle and EWR airport train, it could take you almost an hour by the time you actually get there, so definitely recommend getting a car if you're in a hurry. From Penn, it's easy enough to get into New York City.

If you need an airport hotel to stay in, this is definitely a good choice, just don't expect to be able to walk to anything.

I'm not normally a habitué of Holiday Inns, but I found this one quite satisfactory. We got a very, very warm welcome at the front desk. Clears instruction for wifi were included in our key card folder and the wifi worked without a glitch.

The room was clean, comfortable and well-designed. A special feature is a table with a broad surface that rolls out from under the desk to make for a lot of work space.

We were upgraded, so I don't know how our room compared with others.

The only downside was that the blackout curtains are not designed to close, so that lights from outside shone into the room all night. I'd request a room with a dark view if such a thing exists.

The hotel shuttle was waiting at the airport to pick us up when we arrived from the AirTrain. There was no problem with a 4:30 a.m. hotel shuttle to the airport.

Room Tip: Away from bright lights, unless the curtains close.
