Having to travel to NYC often, I always stay at the Holiday in near the Newark Airport. I can be in the City by train in less than half an hour from the airport and the cost for the room is perhaps 1/4th what it would be in Manhattan. Can't beat it for convenience to the airport and convenience to the City.

Even tho very close to the airport, this hotel was very quiet. The room was clean, sleek, and well equipped. We had an issue with our internet connection which was addressed by calling their technical service. The room was very clean, the view was interesting (there's not really a good view in Newark) and the staff was super. The hotel restaurant was only fair - the food was adequate but nothing special. There's nothing else to eat closeby and the roads and directions were confusing to us.

A noteworthy comment is the address to the hotel doesn't work on GPS, etc. You will need to call the hotel for the address by which to navigate.

Room Tip: 5th floor looking east was quiet

Good stay. My only complaint is that the sink and mirror are outside of the bathroom and there's no refrigerator in the room. Free Wifi and parking. I'd definitely stay again, but my first preference on that strip would be the Hanpton Inn. Good shuttle service.

We stayed here for 1 night (the night of the blizzard) before our flight out the next day (which was delayed until after Newark Airport opened at noon). We checked in very easily and quickly. My husband parked the car at the airport and then took the shuttle back to the hotel. He said it was right there waiting at the airport so he didn't have to wait around for it.

The room was MUCH nicer than we expected. 2 double beds and they gave us a crib for the baby. It was very clean and roomy and comfortable.

The next morning we ate breakfast downstairs- a buffet. It was decent. Service was good. They informed us at the front desk that the airport was closed until noon (there was a sign). They had a screen with flight info in the lobby showing all the canceled/delayed flights. They also had computers with free wifi in the lobby that my daughter used to play disney jr. games on before taking the shuttle over to the airport (they called it for us and it arrived very quickly to bring us to the airport).

We booked this not expecting much- mainly just to avoid having to shovel out our car and drive in the morning and were definitely pleasantly surprised. If we ever need a hotel near Newark airport again, it will be this one.

This property provided the best launch pad I've ever had for a business trip. Immaculate throughout. Rooms had lots of space and things like outlets were intelligently spaced. No sound bleed at all. Bar and restaurant better than adequate. Airport transfer on demand exceeded expectations - when I returned, I didn't even have to call as I saw the van outside. Free safe parking. And each and every employee expresses top-level customer service. I will fly out of EWR whenever possible knowing this property will make it effortless for me.
