“nice family overnight trip”

family of 4 recently stayed at this hotel and got the water park special. I wanted to get concierge level, or higher quality room, but the water park special was very reasonable and included accommodations and water park passes. It was very acceptable. rooms were tastefully decorated, and beds were comfortable. It was very suitable for our needs. The water park was fun for the kids. Overall, a nice overnight trip.

I'm glad to hear you and your family had a nice overnight stay at our hotel and water resort. Our overnight water resort stays are, as you mentioned, extremely affordable, including a stay in one of our guest rooms and two days of water resort access.

You mentioned that prior to your stay you were looking to reserve one of our Concierge Level rooms for your stay. While we do provide additional amenities in our Concierge Level rooms, including Concierge Room access and complimentary continental breakfast, all of our rooms provide extremely comfortable accommodations, in nicely sized rooms, complimented with amenities and a versatile layout tailor to fit the needs of our various guests.

After reading some of the reviews of the Hotel ML and the Coco Key Water Resort. I had second thoughts about planning an overnight trip with my husband and two year old. However, our weekend exceeded our expectations in every way possible!! The exterior of the hotel is under construction so don't be concerned when you first arrive. When you walk into the lobby, you are greeted by wonderful staff looking to be helpful in everyway possible. Although check in is not until four, the water park opens at ten and you can have your passes at that time. The receptionist did have a room availabe for us when we arrived at ten and she checked us in immediuately!!! What a great start. She also gave us an hour extension on our checkout time so we could utilize the park the following morning and then head back tot the room to shower and change before we left. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are just perfect. Our room had a king size bed, a pull out sofa, a club chair, a coffee table, and plenty or place for storing our things. We also had a mini fridge and a microwave which made life traveling with a toddler a breeze. The hotel was rather full and there was a wedding party staying as well, however, when inside our room, we heard no noise from the outside at all. The water park is attached to the hotel so there is no need to go outside to get there. It is staffed with incredibly alert lifeguards who do not stop moving or ever take their eyes off their stations. I was so impressed by the security and safety of this park. It is perfect for younger kids and there is plenty to keep a toldder busy as well. There are several adult size water slides and plenty of little ones as well. Most of the park is a giant play structure with water everywhere! There are sprinklers to control, water guns to shoot, wheels to turn, slides to go down, rain sprinklers to stand under, a separate area for water basketball, a separate area just for toddlers, a lily pad cove, and the entire place is surrounding by a lazy river. There are two places to purchase lunch type food and snacks and plenty of areas for seating. The locker room is spotless and provides bathrooms, showers, changing areas, and lockers if you wish to rent one. We had a super weekend and I would recommend this overnight trip to anyone traveling to this area with children ages 2-12. Older kids would enjoy the giant arcade though! There are planty of family type restuarants in the area and many other activities within a few minutes drive. This hotel is located about 20 minutes outside of Philadlphia so that is easily accessible as well.

We've just returned from a weekend at the Hotel ML and need to share the good news about this property and, in particular, the staff. A former Marriott Hotel, the new owners are in the process of refurbishing (with no disruptions for guests as far as we could see). The rooms were clean and very adequately sized and comfortable.

The real 'hidden gem' at this property is the staff. The faces at the front desk were always smiling and offering to assist with anything we needed. Particular kudos go to Jade Vince, the Catering Sales Manager. She worked with our group to make sure everything went well - right down to helping with some last-minute name badges! Congratulations to the GM - Karl Chase - for having the right people in the right places at the right time!

We too, are extremely excited about the investment in the property the new ownership is making. The upgrades and revitalization of the property will most definitely enhance our guests stay, but as you mentioned, our greatest asset remain our staff. It is the genuine hospitality they provide to our guests, whether they be a business traveler staying for one night or a social events for 300 guests. I am extremely proud to be working with such an amazing team, each of which who truly cares for each and every one of our guests.

I read other reviews of the Hotel ML after completing my purchase on Priceline. Some mentioned mold and roaches, but I figured I would give the place the benefit of the doubt and hope these issues had been fixed. Well I am sad to say that our room had visible mold on the walls. The entire hallway on the floor we were given had a thick, heavy, moldy smell, and you could easily see mold around the ventilation system and on the wall. The lobby area looks like it received new carpet and some "cover up" fixtures, but the room was truly awful, worse than the worst Motel 6. In addition to the mold, the carpet was filthy, and the beds felt old, tired, and cheap. We immediately went down to the front desk, and we did not want to stay in this hotel after viewing this. We were told that we could get a refund through Priceline. We contacted Priceline, and they stated that someone named Lucy from reservations would have to "validate" our refund, as the hotel had already billed Priceline. We still have not received a call from anyone at the hotel, and Priceline will not release a refund until they are contacted. What hotel doesn't have a person from reservations on staff on a Monday? We ended up staying with my mother, and this truly ruined our travel plans. Only one staff member was seen the entire time. What full-service hotel only has one staff member? The desk clerk even offered to get us a room at the hotel across the street, and he stated, "they have some nice rooms over there." What does this say about the Hotel ML and its quality? gwidener7@gmail.com. I would love to actually here from someone at the hotel.

Room Tip: Don't stay here. That is all I can say.

I would first and foremost like to apologize for the challenges you faced during and after your stay. Your experience was less then exceptional and for that I am truly sorry.

Due to the record breaking amounts of rain the area has received in the past month, including that which was brought by Hurricane Irene, the region as a whole has experienced many instances of unintended water intrusion, the effects of which can vary greatly.

Hygiene, sanitation and guest safety are top priorities here at The Hotel ML and we take every claims extremely seriously. Like many structures in the area, we have acted immediately to investigate and address the few secluded areas that have or may be affected by enlisting the expertise of our internal engineering team, as well as external professionals.

As for the lack of assistance you felt you received, I must apologize. We pride ourselves on being the leading provider of customer service in the area, and from what I believe was a breakdown in communication; you did not have the opportunity to experience that. I assure you we are consistently putting new procedures in place and updating current ones to ensure all our guest have to opportunity to experience the exceptional service we provide.

We hope that you will give us with the opportunity to provide you with the worry free, comfortable stay you originally came for.

This hotel is nice and I got a great deal on the hotel. But now, I know why. Every morning starting at 8am, you'll wake up to the sweet sound of loud construction noise. It will seem to go away after 5 mins like the snooze button, but comes right back. No matter what room, they move you into, it is the same. I went from the street side to the other side and I plan on moving again. I am thinking about just forfeiting the rest of the prepaid week and book at another hotel.

Thank you for your kind words about our hotel. We think it's nice too and it is about to get even nicer with our Rejuvenation Renovation project; a surprisingly short term project, which will revitalize and modernize the building facade.

We do our best to ensure no guest staying here is affected; unfortunately your stay was inconvenience during a time when the project was at its loudest point, for that I am sincerely apologetic. Since your posting we have made additions to our previous list of various tactics to accommodate our lightest sleepers, which includes reserving a block of our quietest rooms and providing complimentary ear plugs, for any time when the external environment is a disturbance to their stay.

As an added side note, our rates will remain affordable; that is one of the added benefits of being an independent boutique hotel, exemplary full-service accommodations at what would typically be limited service rates.

I live in the area and never knew this hotel existed until a hurricane forced me to find a hotel. The hotel has an outdoor pool and an indoor water park for kids (and adults) with a bar that serves frozen drinks while parents can watch their children play. Next to the water park area is an arcade with enough games to keep the kids busy for hours. The bar and restaurant mean you never have to even leave the hotel to have everything you could ask for! The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, even with stressed out people who had been evacuated from their homes all over the place. It is a great location, convenient to malls, restaurants, outside bars, shopping centers, highways, and close to Philadelphia for a day trip. I recommend!

You have most definitely hit the nail on the head in describing the perfect leisure setting our hotel offers not only to long distance travelers, but to locals as well.

As hoteliers it makes us extremely proud to know that you were able enjoy the comfort of our rooms, feel the spirit to serve from our staff and have a little fun in our indoor water resort--especially during a time (with Hurricane Irene) that tensions were so high.
