Fridays, always a good place to go in a bind. They are a friendly staff but can be a little slow when bringing things out to you.

I arrived for lunch at 2 P.M. The first thing I noticed was the dimly lit atmosphere. I asked to be seated in a quiet location where I can read. They seated me under a ceiling hung swag lamp that must have been no brighter than 10 watts. I couldn’t read my book. In retrospect I should have asked them to put me in booth next to the windows and have them open the blinds.

I wanted their “Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp” made without butter (I’m allergic to butter). I was told that it has butter in it before they cook it. I said to the waiter that I assume it is the same with similar dishes, but he didn’t seem to understand me so I just ordered a salad with sliced chicken. The greens with pecan nuts and dried cranberries were fine but the chicken had a very weak taste. It tasted almost like it was made from tofu. I give this entree a passing mark of 65. No bread or crackers came with it, as I believe is usual at this restaurant chain.

The sound level was satisfactory (some of the branches of this chain are quite noisy). Here they played mostly soft rock and pop music, with an occasional frenetic piece.

This chain has a limited menu for people like me, a senior senior citizen who does not like spicy food and is allergic to butter.

Service was good, the food was served promptly by a courteous young man.

I had a TGIF gift card and that is the reason I went there. My wife and I had eaten at a branch in Florida and she would not return to this chain and neither will I. I gave the remainder of the gift card to someone else.
