My husband and I spent one night at the Hyatt Place for a wedding, and I was quite pleasantly surprised. The room was very big, with a separate-seeming living area (the layout was quite good), a kick-butt TV, a set-up that allows you to watch movies on your iPad on the big screen in the room, etc.
Pluses: amazing shower. I felt like I could have been blown into the next room! The space, as I mentioned. The 24-hour snacks you could buy at the Front Desk (including Starbucks latte), the friendly, efficient staff. The food at breakfast: egg mcmuffin-type hot breakfast sandwiches, waffles, bagels, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, juice. And free, too - great price! :)
Minuses: the bed wasn't that comfortable (but that could be personal preference), the room was quite cold (even when we turned off the A/C), and I was unable to find an extra blanket. They also seemed a bit short-staffed in the morning, when descended upon by hordes of hungry, hung over wedding guests.
My husband travels far more than I do for his work, and he remarked that he wished he traveled to more destinations with Hyatt Place hotels, as he'd stay there anytime. And he's even pickier than I am!
Overall, I'd stay there again with no hesitation. I wouldn't necessarily vacation there - but then again, Mt. Laurel isn't exactly a hot vacation spot. :)More
