“Very nice pet friendly hotel”
Reviewed October 26, 2009

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while returning to MA. from Florida. It's location is just off of exit 5/New Jersey Turnpike. Rooms include breakfast and pet fee is just $10. After driving 9 hours, we were happy to see that the rooms were very clean and the staff polite. Unfortunately, we had a group of young girls having a party in the next room however the noise was stopped after 2 calls to the front desk. The man at the front desk was very polite and accomodating. Breakfast was the usual buffet with a clean atmosphere. We would surely stay here again

I stayed as part of a group and was more satisfied then most. We had reserved all non-smoking rooms a few months ago but some of us were put in smoking rooms anyway. It didn't matter if you got a non-smoking room - they all smelled like cigarette smoke anyway. The minute I turned on the fan in the bathroom it pulled in smoky air.

One member of our party was traveling with kids and called ahead for two adjoining (or at least abutting) rooms and was told no problem. When she checked in she was told that the kids would be about 10 rooms down the hallway.

The pluses - management is in the process of remodeling the rooms and the breakfast is better than you would find at most Best Westerns. Very convenient to the NJTP and adjacent to an Applebees and Cracker Barrel.

We stayed at the Best Western on our drive down south . The room was nice and clean and the staff very courteous.

The continental breakfast was good.

The hotel is a little on the older side but met all our needs for a stop over on a long car trip.

While my family and I were awaiting a rental property after being displaced because of a house fire, we stayed at the Best Western Burlington Inn. We stayed there from Aug 12 to Sept 17. We enjoyed our temporary "home".

The pool is just as you see it and there is a hot tub as well. It was very nice and yes it was clean. The pictures you see on this site of the rooms and pool are accurate, but the lobby area is not. It has been transformed into a nice little breakfast area. (I have no idea when that occured) They have what you would pretty much expcet. Yogurt, nice choice of ceral, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bagels, muffins, cut up fresh fruit, milk, and juices. There are a few tables there along with a comfortable loveseat and a couple of other comfy chairs. Also they have free newspapers and wireless internet.

The staff was friendly and responded to our requests in a timely manner. We had a lot of stuff in our room due to our having to "live" there and the housekeeping staff was just wonderful about working around it.

There are no laundry facilities there, but the Hampton Inn next door allows access to their facility if you show your room key. They will give you a key to access their facilities there. I think it was $1 per wash and $1 per dry if I am remembering correctly.

On site also is Cracker Barrell and Applebees. If you want to drive off site there are other places to eat, like TGIFriday's, Bob Evans, Burger King, Wendy's, Checkers, Friendly's, etc.

I hope you have found this review helpful. If you have any questions or just need more information about the area I'd be happy to help. You can email me at JenniLL@juno.com. Happy traveling!

Jen

We stayed here 10/21/05. Though the people at the desk were friendly and accommodating, this hotel is old, dark, filthy, and depressing. The lobbly area where they serve the breakfast is dreary. Not even sure the fireplace works. In our room the drapes were stained and the chairs were frayed. The whirlpool was a glorified bathtub-for-one. The four-poster bed with colorful comforter redeemed the room somewhat, but not enough for us to stay more than the night we had committed to. Also, noise from the street woke up my husband. We went to another hotel the next day. Why stay here?...unless you are traveling with pets. There's a beautiful Holiday Inn Express and a Hampton Inn practically around the corner from this hotel at practically the same price.

we had reservations for 2 nights. we left after one. we had reserved a non-smoking room--we received one called non-smoking...but it was only 2 doors down from a smoking room. we could smell smoke when the air conditioner was on, and immediately upon opening the room's door. the room itself was uncomfortable (mattress lumpy, bathtub sticky--big yuk!) and in need of repair (carpet stains, peeling wallpaper, exposed wiring). the staff was less than friendly. we were very disappointed.
