We were here for a funeral. The accommodations were very nice. Everything was clean. The breakfast bar was great. What impressed me most was the fact they had a dinner buffet offered. No other place that I know of has ever done this. I understand they serve different dinners on different days so it's not always the same thing. When travelling again in that area, we will definitely stay here.

Was in the area for a funeral and needed two rooms. Some of the other hotels in the area were comparably priced but HIE included breakfast. We were greeted cordially on arrival. Room was clean. Internet worked great. Liked having a couch in the room. Breakfast was definitely above average. One of the best I have had while traveling. Will definitely stay again when in area.
In my opinion, the quasi-high prices are warranted from the fab location. Seated right next door to Cracker Barrel, you'll be glad to forgo the free hot breakfast in the lobby area of the hotel. It also is close to a number of family sit down restaurants, there are a couple of nearby malls and shopping centers.
However, the room was passable. the bed was kind of lumpy, and the mattress cover on the pull-out sofa bed had stains. The shower was terrible, the water pressure was as weak as a little girl. The ceiling of the shower had hints of scrubbed off black mold.
As a family that loves their movies, I was happy that the TV monitor had open HDMI inputs for my travel Roku. We plugged it in and into the free wi-fi that was strong enough to handle the audio/video streaming.
I do love this area and I visit it a lot. But the next time I stay over I will look for a more comfortable hotel. This hotel is rated very highly by guests, but I think it has something to do with the (although kind of high-priced) comparatively lower prices. I don't mind spending a few dollars more to assure comfort, I am back a day and my shoulder is still killing me from that bed. Some may like this, but it's not my taste. If I am spending nearly $150 per night, I expect a higher grade of room.

We used our IHG reward points to stay at this place for 3 nights. It's a big, fancy hotel for a Holiday Inn Express - must've been something else before. It's a little outdated but that doesn't matter to us - it's very clean and quiet. Everyone there was so friendly & nice & helpful. Our first night was a Thursday evening & they have a small supper (Monday thru Thursday evening reception) they provide in the breakfast room - it was excellent (fresh catered in Chinese chicken/veggie stir fry, rice, lo mein, & soda pop). We had a larger room with a sofa & little kitchen area with frig, microwave, kitchen sink - it was 2nd floor and very quiet & comfortable. Also used the laundry facility on 2nd floor (nice, clean). You can't hear the interstate at all & there's a forest behind it - also a nice shopping/restaurant area with walks & benches. We toured Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area for 2 days while staying there - lots of country to see from this location. Enjoyed it very much & look forward to returning someday.

I needed a room last-minute, and this hotel is close to the location where I was. EVERYTHING was excellent, from the room to the staff, check-in to check-out. The room was impeccably clean and they accommodated my special requests (based on my disability). My ONLY regret is that the hotel did not have availability for the six nights I needed (like I said, a last minute reservation) and I had to move to another "extended-stay" style hotel in the area for the last three night. I am STILL having nightmares about THAT place, but the HIExpress was the epitome of what a perfect hotel stay should be!
The staff at this Holiday Inn were very friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Free breakfast was just okay the first day, but excellent the 2nd day. Next time I stay here though I will bring my own pillow! The pillows were too soft and lumpy for me.
