“Good Cheer, Great Food”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Arthur's Tavern is a local favorite. The food is consistantly yummy, the prices are good , the service is right on spot and the atmosphere is unique. The main menu never changes, but there are daily specials. Known for the huge, delicious steaks and fabulous burgers.
The walls are lined with pictures of satified patrons of many decades, the ceilings are filled with hanging beer decorations. Their french onion soup is wonderful, served in a crock and smothered with melted cheese. The salads are crisp, fresh and generous. The fish specials are fresh and prepared perfectly.
The dress is casual and it is a great place to go with a group or to just sit at the bar, eat & drink while you watch a game on the tv.
This is a very popular spot so, if you arrive after 7 PM on most nights, be prepared to wait for a table. They will not seat you until your entire party has arrived. So, have a drink while you wait, enjoy the fun vibe and get set for a terrific meal!

“Always good and good price”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Went on a Saturday night and waited 1 hour 45 minutes (they do not accept reservations). Went to the bar next door in the meantime. There were 6 of us and we had a really good meal at a good price. Great service. Try to go at an off time if you don't want to wait.

“1 hr wait for steak”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Came here around 7 pm on a very busy Saturday night. There were tons of people waiting outside for their tables. Was told wait was 40 minutes for a 4 top, ended up being a 60 minute wait. They do not give out beepers nor do they take reservations. I guess business is that good they can't be bothered. Don't lose your cheesy deli ticket number.

We're were hoping we would sit downstairs since it was more lively, but we were sat upstairs instead. We were unpleasantly surprised to see styrofoam plates on the table. Arthur's, are you not aware that styrofoam takes forever to break down and is very bad for the environment? Stop using styrofoam and use paper plates instead! Shame on you.

As others have said, the 24 oz steak is a great value and good choice. The bacon wrapped scallop skewer app and onion soup are good appetizers. The service is poor but we didn't expect much anyway.

“Always good food and value when we were there.”

We can seldom handle the big stakes but the sandwiches are excellent and very good values. They are always busy but the service is good.
