“Plesantly Surprised for Good Pizza”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Went here after seeing “Authentic Neapolitan Pizza” sign and was impressed with the quality of the pizza. The pizza was thin and tasty, close to the pizza served in Italy, but not duplicated. True Neapolitan pizza is only found in Napoli, but Montclair is closer to home while living in the states. Crust lacked some taste, but the sweetness of the tomato sauce made up for the crust. Mozzarella was also tasty and melted throughout the pizza. We also sampled the Fettuccini Primavera. Nice dish and plenty of fresh vegetables. Only one issue, sauce somewhat overpowered the pasta. Less sauce more focus on the pasta and vegetables. The chicken dish with sautéed spinach was also well prepared. Basically, it was grilled chicken tenderloins in a wine sauce. To end it all, we had the Nutella pizza. A must have!!! Pizza dough was filled with a layer of Nutella with powdered sugar on top. The restaurant is BYOB. Pizza prices are on the high side, but occasionally a good pizza is worth it.

“Great Pizza, a Little Pricey”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

The pizza here represents some of the best artisan pies I have ever had. The only thing that keeps me from being a regular is the price which makes this a treat more than a usual haunt.

“Brick Oven Pizza Heaven”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

I love their Brick oven Pizza... I also love their Mezza Luna, the mezza Luna is one of the best things on the menu in my opinion. The salads are great here as well. Very good place to rack up your sky miles if you have any and unwind. The parking is limited though.

“If you can judge a restaurant by its worst night, this is a place to avoid”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

I have been here several times in the past and dined pleasantly. But the experience has been eroding over the last few visits. Tonight, we hit bottom. First, our 630 pm reservation blew by as they gave a table of six to a group who had not made a reservation. So we waited 15 minutes to sit, and another 20 minutes at least to order. Entrees, with mistakes a plenty, did not arrive until two hours after we arrived. That is acceptable in a fine dining establishment, which this is not. The order was wrong from the start, and my son's order was clearly a complete miss from the start. I was told repeatedly that his meal was coming, only to discover that his order had never been recorded. They rushed it at the bottom of the two hours. The service was unbelievably rude. We were told that "we had a bad attitude from the start." Well, not quite from the start. But yet, after our table was given away to another group, after it took so long to take our orders, after it took even longer to get our appetizers, and a ridiculous long wait to get our entrees, all the while having our concerns dismissed rudely...yes, sometime during the abusive service and long wait, we lost our patience. Yes, it was Father's Day. And they were busy. "Give us some slack," was the abrupt explanation. How about giving us some service and customer respect. Cross this one off the list.
