We have been going to the Tomato Factory for many years ....and only now have I thought to provide a review after dining there last evening. The fact that we've dined here for numerous years says a lot about the restaurant. The quality of the food and service has been maintained at a high level for a long time ....something that many other restaurants have failed to do.
Don't let the location in a strip mall be a turn off. The interior is warm and inviting, and the staff and food preparations will keep you coming back. There are always nightly specials on the menu, as well as familiar Italian restaurant staples. The fried calamari is EXCELLENT ....lightly breaded ...golden brown ...and always tender. Served with a side of simple marinara sauce ...it's always one of the items we order. The pasta dishes are excellent, with a wide variation of styles / sauces offered. Occasionally, one of the specials will be a veal chop ...which is perfectly prepared ...tender and juicy.
This is a BYOB establishment (which I think helps keep the prices reasonable) ....and there is a liquor store right next door should you want to bring a bottle of wine or some beer. We've never had to deal with a "corkage charge" for having a bottle of wine opened and placed in an ice bucket.
The deserts are very good ...and there is a good variety of gelato available (the pistachio is excellent ...). This has been our local "go to" Italian restaurant...and will remain so.
