Even though there is pizza on the menu, don’t expect to see chicken parmigiana. We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night and despite being very crowded had a seat right away for 2.
Lively atmosphere with a bar and very nice and attentive waitstaff. The specials had a Tuscan theme which I love given we love the food in that region of Italy.
I started with a Tuscan special salad, the harvest panzanella. It was different than your typical panzanella salad with cooked butternut squash and Brussels sprouts to compliment the tomatoes. It was delicious.
My wife had the classic pasta with meatballs and I had the Genoa pasta which was fried shrimp over a bed of linguine. Both of these dishes were very good and flavorful.
For desert we had the cannoli bowl and a lemon olive oil cake. The cannoli cream was very good and the cake was a bit dry and not moist as I was expecting.
For wines, they have a modest offering with a wide range of price points.
I recommend if you are looking for a twist on Italian from your local pizza and pasta shop.
