If you need an un-fussy place to spend a night near the Shore that doesn't slim down your wallet, and doesn't demand a 2-night minimum, this is the place. It's got a microwave and a refrigerator in the room, and a fairly big TV. The rooms are plain, but clean, and the bathroom looked new and well-lit. The owners seemed friendly. It's about a 15 minute drive to the shore at Sea Isle City. The room was pretty spacious and there's a decent sized parking lot for bigger RVs or trucks if you have one.

Room Tip: We stayed in the handicapped room that had a king-size bed and maybe that's why our bathroom was so big.

Sheets were stained. Our "non smoking" room had cigarete burns in the comforter. The door had a hole in it. Bugs in the carpet. Pool was dingy and many the the lounge chairs by the pool were broken. We will never go back.

Stayed here as a less expensive alternative to Wildwood Hotels. For $55 a night this place was great: clean, quiet, right off the Parkway & on Route 9, staff was friendly, beautiful pool, expansive grounds, complete cable tv, and a better than usual continental breakfast. King size bed was comfortable & had plenty of pillows. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the inside face the pool and a large open space that could be used as a play area, so might be noisier during the summer.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Econo Lodge when running the Ocean Drive Marathon in Cape May. Its probably the cheapest place you can find within 30 minutes of Cape May. For $60 (with AAA discount) we got a room with a jacuzzi, wifi, breakfast, and the usual amenities.

Rooms were clean and beds were pretty soft. The worst part of the stay was the advertised breakfast that didn't exist. Deffinately false advertising. Very old cereal, no bread of any kind, coffee and juice. When asked where the breakfast was (both mornings of stay) clerk said they were on the way to get it. They must have gone to many states far away to shop because they never made it back. I can't say I recommend staying there again because of their misrepresentation.
