“Waterfront Deck with Great Band!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

I really can't comment on the food we only had Hamburger and Chicken Tenders, but the setting the weather and the Band, Bob Campanel were awesome!! We came by boat, Time the tides to avoid low tide, docked and had the best three hours of a Sunday night this year!

“A classic dining spot with an uncrowded view.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

great place to have a nice dinner overlooking the bay. Reservations strongly recommended. The food is typical american fare with a flare for fish. The clams with bruscetta was a great appetizer. Overall the staff was quite attentive and and the hostess was most pleasant.

“40 Yrs +”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

Tuckahoe Inn is more of a 40 years and older crowd so if you want to have a toned down evening of music, good food and drink visit the Tuckahoe Inn. They have a decent size bar so waiting for a table isn't too bad. There are a number of dining rooms....the outside deck right on the bay (mainly for lunch), the enclosed porch (where most people want to sit and look at the bay), the inside dining room and a small room toward the front of the restaurant. Our waiter was fantastic, checked on us constantly but not annoying. The food was very good and we weren't rushed out. If you've never been there, it is worth a try.

“A Shore Classic Suitable For All Ages”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

As long time visitors and former residents at the Shore, we chose the Tuckahoe Inn for a family dinner outing and a dose of nostalgia. Some in the party wanted an early dinner. We learned about the Early-Bird offered seven days a week and booked it. The last reservation time for Early Bird is 445pm, seating at 5. Arriving at the Tuckahoe Inn from the north, you need to drive past it on the Parkway bridge, get off at the Ocean City/Marmora exit and turn back on the old Route 9. Our GPS got confused by the soon-to-be-demolished Beesley’s Point Bridge at which the Tuckahoe sits at its foot.

Arriving earlier than our guests, we were warmly greeted and guaranteed a table “on the porch” overlooking the water. You can’t do that in advance. Everyone wants to be on the porch. There was a mostly senior crowd gathered at the bar, which got bigger and better as the evening went on, A band started playing old favorites including some Stevie Wonder. Anywhere people were standing became a dance floor.

At dinner, our server was cheerful and helpful about the menu choices. You can find the menu on their web-site. Despite the Tuckahoe being filled with nostalgia, the menu has its share of old and new style offerings. One of our steaks arrived different from what was ordered and the issue was easily resolved. All enjoyed our dinner at the Tuckahoe and would return. Complete dinner for five at Early Bird, including salad, dessert, coffee or tea, tax and tip was $110.

“Food is good, but the view is even better!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

This old 1736 inn is right on the water at Beesley's Point. At present the bridge there is closed which makes for even better ambience: you have to go to the parkway (5 mins) to cross Great Egg Harbor. Their fish was very good and shell fish as well. A lovely place for a pleasant evening meal.
