My husband grew up in the area and I have lived locally for 20+ years, but we never really thought to frequent Squan Tavern, although we know many people who are "regulars." Well, that recently changed and this is my new local favorite. Great place for families whether you are in the mood for a pizza night or a good Italian meal or a combination for the adults and kids. Go early on a weekend, or you'll wait for a table. Nothing fancy, just good food and busy, local atmosphere.

This is a nice family run old school tavern. Really good thin crust pie. Excellent authentic italian dishes like grandma made. Great selection of draught beers.

Went on a busy Friday night, had delicious appys, pizza and ice cold beer. Service was spot on even tho they were so busy! We did have to wait a bit but it was only 20 minutes. Can't wait to go back!!

Never will you leave here hungry or disappointed. No, we are not talking high end Italian we are talking genuine Neopolitan Italian American basic with a pizza that makes college kids yearn to come home - can't go wrong here - family run and the family will take care of you.

Well worth the wait, if you're going to Squan Tavern, get the Pizza. We had the local favorite-6 ingredient pie w/ sausage, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, meatballs, peppers-it was AWESOME. I don't usually eat that much meat nor pizza with that many ingredients, but it was a nice treat. Their regular pies are also very good.
