we stayed at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel at Easter (3 nights) for family reunion and loved the experience. The staff was more then helpful. The room's clean and has nice view. The bathroom need a little bit of renov. but clean. the bed was very comfortable.
We had breakfast for the entire stay and loved it. The waiter's very attentive to our needs. There's alot of choice for breakfast.
The highlight of our stay for our entire family is the heated pool. The water's temperature was perfect . There's alot of heated towels by the pool.
With the Easter package, there's alot to do for the kids with the movie, eggs hunting, Easter's brunch.
It's a comfortable 45 min to NYC with a comfortable price.

We had a nice family weekend and will definitely come back there

I'm on the road for business alot. The hotel is very close and convenient to my work. I've been staying at this hotel for many years and they always make me feel welcome. The rooms are clean and the restaurant has great food. I recommend the asian buffalo wings! I will definately be back.

I only stayed for 1 night at this hotel. However, it was a nice property. I didn't explore outside of the Sheraton so I am not sure what the area was like - this was a stopping point for business. The bed was comfy & room service prompt & delicious. Would stay again.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We were checked in and in the room in 5 minutes, and that was at 4 a.m. There are lots of inexpensive breakfast options within a 5 minute drive in case the breakfast at the hotel doesn't appeal to you. Really fun benihana-style restaurant right across the street. Trains to NYC a short drive away as well. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay. If you are carless, you don't have many options. Finally, a hotel with enough staff to accomodate guests efficiently.

I booked this hotel from Hotwire.com and Hotwire stated that this hotel was a 3.5 star. That's why I chose it. We requested a king bed and got two doubles. There was no shower gel in the rooms, only a bar of soap, and we were in an adjoining room where we could easily hear the conversations of our neighbors. The concierge would only recommend the restaurant in the hotel when we asked for somewhere nearby to eat. The "expanded" continental breakfast we ordered to our room consisted of two tiny warmed cinnamon rolls, hard canteloupe and honeydew and a pot of tea. The menu said the teas were assorted, but we only received black tea. The regular continental on the menu didn't even include the fruit. Internet access is also very expensive for in-room wireless. The check in process was quick and easy, however. One of the only pluses of this hotel was that it was close to where I needed to go and near the highway. The gleaming facade says nothing about what is actually going on inside the rooms.

Ridiculously overpriced for Mahwah, NJ. The hotel was noisy all night with intoxicated college seniors having parties before graduation. Lots of customer complaints overheard, but no solution to the noise problem all night. Desk staff we encountered were either clueless or not interested. Dining room menu was way too expensive for uninspired fare offered, and the servers seemed far more interested in each other than customers. Soup was tepid. Room and hallways had a strong floral disinfectant smell. A couple of lamps in the room didn't work, and those that did had dim bulbs, making reading difficult. No ventilation in the bathroom. Parking lots a hike from front doors, especially with luggage. Not a porter in sight when we arrived. This was a disappointing experience from start to finish, and we were actually glad to check out. Sheraton usually does better, but this hotel was just awful. Stay somewhere else in Mahwah!

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Sheraton Mahwah about a month ago and had a less than desirable experience. First, when we made the reservations by phone after a long and tiring drive, we were told that we could check in immediately upon arrival and that there were plenty of rooms and because of this, we would be able to get a great view. When we arrived, there were electrical issues and therefore, the desk attendants were unable to find our reservation. We were told we would have to wait in the lobby for a few minutes until the problem was fixed. Almost an hour later, we were waved to the desk and were given a room. The room had the worst view of a construction building with multiple trash dumpsters. We were highly disappointed and called immediately down to the desk. We were told they would look into another room. After about 15 minutes, we went down stairs on our own prepared to leave the hotel after our experiences, but were given an "upgrade" of a larger room. We went upstairs and were happy to be in a somewhat larger room, but again, we were given the same view of the building and dumpsters. At this point, neither one of us felt like arguing because by then, it was late, but would be hesitant to recommend this hotel to any of our friends and co-workers. We expected better customer service and care from the Sheraton.
