We visited McLoone's for our first time last weekend and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! We started with of buffalo chicken wontons and shrimp spring rolls, followed by two orders of Lobster Encrusted Sea Bass. The dish was delicious! Our server, Charles, was very attentive. His knowledge and input of the wines and menu blew me and my husband away and his personality made our first visit very memorable. We cannot wait to return--hopefully it warms up soon! All in all, our experience was GREAT!

Didn't actually eat here, it was during the Polar Plunge. They were nice enough to let people warm up and use their restrooms to change in. Very nice of them

The best thing about our visit to the Pier House, aside from the view, is that we never expected to wind-up there!

Unfortunately, we were down the shore attending a friend's funeral and decided we were all hungry. None of us were sure as to what restaurants, if any, were open along the water, but we were close to Long Branch, so we headed in that direction. McLoone's appeared to be the only one open at this time. It was a beautifully sunny and mild mid-week day, and the restaurant was pleasantly busy. We did manage, however to get one of the prized beachfront tables.

The menu had many nice offerings. The service was fine, and the views, well, that's why they can charge the prices they do.

You won't be disappointed if you know what to expect.

A great part of the real Jersey Shore.
We thoroughly enjoyed our own afternoon brunch on a sunny, winter's Sunday. It was great to see a crowd enjoying Pier Village three months after the cruel Hurricaine Sandy. The Jersey Shore's beginning to get it's sea legs back. Good!!!!
We enjoy the Pier House for the fantastic oceanviews, good food & drinks, and their good service. Fresh seafood appetizers, paninis, and cool Pino Grigios were yesterday's fare.
Just so you know. The Pier House also has a great Sunday brunch buffet upstairs with everything under the sun on their buffet. Just booked a party there for summer.
This is my second good review of the Pier House.
Enjoy. ---------------- Ken

We have been going to McLoones for years now and on our most recent visit we were disappointed. The food is overpriced but knowing the view it is to be expected. The bar and resturant was fairly empty for a Saturday night especially since our visit was post hurricane and many of the resturants in the area suffered damage and are closed. It seems that the owners and staff just don't care about the individual customers anymore and they certainly do not go out of their way to serve you. The food was just "okay". It might have just been the staff on duty that evening but it really was disappointing. You expect more when diner costs over $200.00 for two (with drinks). I will be hesitant to visit again and probably would only recommend the resturant for the location, but there are other resturants nearby that are open with even better views and service.
