Every so often we get a craving for KFC, which in Ledgewood also includes the faux-seafood menu choices from Long John Silver's. Unfortunately, for convenience, the closest one to us is this one, just east of the old Ledgewood Circle on Route 46 -- it would take us considerably longer to travel west to Hackettstown or farther east to Rockaway.
In any case, this Ledgewood KFC is always unorganized, from the managers to the cooks to the counter staff. They don't communicate well with one another, often don't have (or it's never close to ready) what's on the menu, and it's generally not as clean as other KFC's throughout what is generally a fairly well-respected nationwide franchise. Another bad thing: I think this particular KFC goes heavier with the salt than the others -- they usually mess up our favorite chicken choice, the extra crispy. For some odd reason, this place is always a disappointment.
If nothing else, this KFC should at least fix up its parking lot. How many years have all those potholes been there (I say potholes, but they're more like craters -- a decade now? -- and making the circle around the place is like navigating an obstacle course). If your overall service and food quality are going to be below par, then at least don't also ruin people's shock absorbers when they decide to drive over to come see you.
