Had a wonderful lunch here. The outdoor seating is cozy and was comfortable. Food was super fresh and filling. Great service.

“very BLAH.”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

As a Lambertville resident, I love living in a town with good restaurants... Lilly's on the Canal just isn't one of them. The place has atmosphere, yes- but the food is SO lackluster. Our meal was a disappointing combination of stale & greasy. We started with eggplant fries which are sopping wet and basically hollow. The taquitos were chewy and tasteless. The fish taco shells were stale and the waitress made it like it was a huge favor to substitute guacamole for tomatillo sauce, "I will see if that can be done". Thanks, you shouldn't have!
Said waitress also never checked back on us after our food arrived and didn't comment or flinch when most of our food was left on our plates.

This was one of those meals that just felt like a total waste of money. I'll never go back.

“Not great”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

We ate here based on the reviews. We asked to sit outside (hey it is on the canal). Who would have thought you cannot see the canal from the outside dining area as there are large shrubs enclosing the dining area.

Exciting food? Not really. Actually better described as hipster pub fare and somewhat dull.

They sell wine by the bottle only ( or you can bring your own beer).

There are much better restaurants in the area.

I am the organizer for the Lambertville New Hope Activities Meetup Group. We visit many of the local restaurants as a group, as well as my going there with friends. Food has been consistently good and competent service. Great eggplant fries.

“Sophisticated, delicious food and great energy”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We visit Lambertville often and Lilly's is one of our go-to places to eat -- when we can get a seat! First the service is always friendly and fast, no matter how busy they are (and they are busy more often than not). The menu has something for everyone -- we had arranged an outing in town for 18, and had a reservation at Lilly's for lunch. Everyone left happy and full. Plus the open kitchen is fascinating to watch. Also, if you are not too full after your meal, by all means get the carrot cake. It is 9 (or so) layers of heaven. It is enormous, decadent and worth every calorie.
