“Best Eggplant Fries ever! Action packed fun place!”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

My husband and I were in town for a few days and we happened to wander by Lilly's we decided not to wait for a table...it was quite busy that evening so we decided to sit up at the counter. We were entertained by the chefs and prep staff. What a well oiled machine! The food was out of this world. Yummy. We ate too much and didn't leave room for dessert but we saw them serve the plates up and I was drooling....loved this place.

“always too hot”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We've been living in New Hope for 3 years. We go out to dinner just about every Friday. We generally like restaurants in Lambertville better for dinner and the bars in New Hope better for drinks.
We've been to Lilly's about 4 or 5 times. The place has so much potential to be in our regular rotation of fav's but we won't be going again.
That's where the 2/5 rating comes in. We've had one good experience there. The rest have been awful solely due to the heat. Food is pretty good actually, service is good, most of the waiters are good. The heat...ugh the heat in that place. Be prepared to sweat sitting there. It was 50 degrees out and yet my fiance and I were both sweating. We mentioned twice it was too hot and we were told that they couldn't open windows because kids were there. Out of the 5 times we've been there, winter, fall, spring summer doesn't matter it's always the same. What actually really ticked us off this time was that we were the first people in the restaurant and we were sat in the hottest place in the restaurant. Just confirms that doesn't matter how crowded or what season you go. There might be OK seats in the house...but if you're anywhere next to the kitchen, or upstairs prepare to sweat. Upon leaving I stopped at the hostess to explain that we didn't stay for dessert or coffee because it was just too hot up there and she just tilted her head and acted like there was nothing she could do. I asked why were were sat there when the entire restaurant was open and she just shrugged her shoulders. Food isn't good enough to sweat, not enjoy the meal. There are so many other amazing places in Lambertville, so we won't be returning.

“Solid choice, should please anyone”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

I was here with a group of eight people. Service was attentive. We loved the apps - "decadent" batter dipped eggplant fries, and veggie and risotto cakes..... innovative.

I had the lamb chops. No fancy sauce, but solidly competent. Others had steak, grilled salmon, pasta, etc. Everyone was happy and some even needed takehome boxes for the leftovers.

Desserts seem to be a specialty - look at the display case on the way in. Some people got cake and received a 60 degree slice of a layer cake 5 incehs tall - enough for three people. So plan on sharing.

Nothing too outlandish or trendy here and this place should please anyone.

They have a limited wine list AND allow BYO.

It's an old stone industrial building - was COLD by the walls on a chilly april night.

“Cute as a button”
Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

As you walk into this cute restaurant, you will adore it. The food is full of flavor and portions are a good size for the value. I had the chorizo sausage sandwich. Amazing flavor and the chicken was moist.

The parking limited so park on the street. One of my friends had the cubano sandwich and that too was soooo good.

“Stuffed...”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

The food is plentiful, but if you are counting calories, this is NOT the place to go! The desserts are killer (especially the chocolate cake), and the pasta is to die for. Ambiance is always neat - the decor changes constantly. Service is friendly, can be slow. Prices can be a bit high, but know that you are leaving with leftovers and a full tummy!
