This is one of those places that you find and you hope is really great. Okay, so maybe some authentic Thai folks are in that kitchen back there. I want to believe that but from the food we were served, my English grandmother could have thrown it together....Cuisine is insulting to anyone who has ever really experienced Thai cooking at it's best. Don't go to Thai Tida down the road in Lambertville -- it's even worse. If you want great Thai food the only place to go that I have found locally is in Buckingham (its in a mall!) and it is called Siam. There is absolutely NO ATMOSPHERE but the food is FANTASTIC and they have a full bar.

We went there with friends who are big fans. I found it a little dirty, a little tired and the food was so-so. The menus were stained torn and tired looking, which I think speaks volumes to their value system. Thai-Tida at the north end of town is much better and has take-out.

We have been living in the area for about 6 years and have tried all of the Thai restaurants in the area...most are good, but we always return to Siam. Yes, the decor is not why you go, but the food is wonderful. We have not found many of their dishes at other Thai restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is local and relaxed...which is another reason we like it. A number of restaurants in the area are targeted to the tourist....Siam is....well ...your local Thai restaurant where good food at a reasonable price reside. Try it!

We were really looking forward to a return visit to Siam. The service as friendly and helpful but the kitchen really let us down. The "hot pot" was merely a warm pot used to serve the food. None of the deep rich flavors that come from the intense heat of a true hot pot dish. Also, the shrimp were overcooked and tough. (Really unforgivable.) Finally, the portions are no longer generous. Sad to have to take Siam off our list of good food in Lamberville.
