This was an excellent, yet laided back rehersal dinner. The food was lobster, sausage, chicken, corn on the cob and salad. Just the perfect dinner for an August wedding. Despite the fact that 20 more guests confirmed than originally thought just before dinner, the staff pulled it off without a hitch. Good job guys.

Enjoyed the special Jersey Shore Feast with friends in the delightful outdoor courtyard of Hamilton's Grill last evening. It was well worth the $29 fixed price for a salad with two luscious slices of real Jersey tomato, steamed clams and mussels, then 1/2 lobster, piece of spicy sausage, chicken thigh, red potatoes, and an ear of corn served "low country boil" in a mesh bag, and a dessert of great peach pie with melt-in-your-mouth crust. BYOB. The meal was served picnic style with plastic dishes, utensils and tablecloths which no one in our party objected to since we made quite a mess with the buttery broths and shellfish. Plenty of napkins and wet wipes were on the table and a second basket of warm crusty bread arrived mid-meal upon request. The staff was efficient and polite and we had a wonderful time! A great idea for a summery meal to share with special friends. My sole complaint is that there wasn't a pepper shaker on the table. If you've never been there, the Boathouse bar across the courtyard is one of the most special places in the area and not to be missed for a pre-dinner or after dinner drink.

For the past 10 years, I had wanted to visit this restaurant and just never got there. After I made the reservation, I was hesitant after reading some of the recent reviews. We ate there last Friday evening and did not have any of the negative experiences that others have posted about.

Our server was congenial and attentive despite the restaurant being very busy. Two of us had the sashmi grade tuna which was prepared perfecty, served with local asparagus, green beans and tomatoes. The other two had the New York Strip, which they agreed had a bit of gristle but the sauce was awesome. As others have noted, the shrimp appetizer should not have been served with the shrimp (only 3) in the shell, but the anchovy butter was very good and I actually dipped a bit of bread into it. Most of the entrees are simply prepared on the wood grill and from what I experienced are from fresh and sometimes local ingredients.

You cannot beat the ambience of this place. We sat outside in the courtyard, near the fountain under the twinkle lights. Add the good food and great wine and it was a lovely evening.

Have been here several times and most of the time very good. I see a review from Amen9 they were there the same day we went. You would almost guess we were at different restaurants. Our server had an attitude problem that night. My wife ordered a chop salad and the server said it will be different with no explanation. The salad came out what looked like a soup bowl with 80% tomatoes not a real chopped salad and not was expected. We said something to the hostess and she said the server should of explained. The salad took a look time before they came out and so did the dinners. We both ordered fish and they came out warm not hot. The whole place seemed out of sync. It will be sometime before we go back. Many other good restaurants in Lambertville.

After delightful visits previously, last night's dinner was not up to par. Wait time for main course was over 1 hr, with no updates from server. Server was knowledgable about offerings but actual meal had different vegetables than ordered and recommended veal chop was very fatty. Server worked more than one room and was rarely seen. Felt 'unattended'.
