“Local,seasonal and delicious”
Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

This relative newcomer is a welcome addition to the area.A relatively short menu based on fresh seasonal ingredients, prepared with flair and designed with the simplicity necessary for the dish to do the talking.Enough variety, appropriate portion size and reasonable prices.

“Great find in Lambertville - BYOB- excellent chef”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Delightful service, atmosphere and cuisine. Surpassed our expectations. Should become our next "go-to" place. Chef has "been around the block" with stops in many famous kitchens.
My wife's cold pea soup was cream-free and yet smooth and very tasty with a touch of ginger that made it quite exceptional. Haricot Vert salad was al-dente and perfectly dressed. Salmon tartar with tomato confit was just great.
My gnocci were light and tasty, served with mushrooms and roasted garlic. My Red Snapper was perfectly done: crisped skin and tender flesh. Also accompanied by a chopped tomato with roasted garlic.
Apple pie and vanilla ice cream was a perfect dessert.
Chef's wife is charming and attentive and gives good advice in guiding you through your meal.

“A very pleasant surprise”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Walking around Lambertville (not our first visit), we found "d/floret". From the name, we expected it to be some type of French restaurant. Not so. It is a husband/wife operation, relatively small but charmingly decorated including some of the husband/chef's paintings. I would characterize the menu as eclectic but everything is superbly prepared, from a Tomato confit/goat cheese tart, to a delicious, very traditional (read minimal tomatoes) veal Bolognese, a spring pea soup and a delightful dessert surprise of a Creamsicle float which brought back a childhood memory with amazing accuracy. Friendly casual service, an open kitchen and the chance to bring your own wine made for a very comfortable and rewarding dinner.

Enjoyed this small but delicious restaurant in the heart of Lambertville. Very convenient, friendly and not over-priced. Everything we ordered was exquisite, especially the cold pea soup!
