Description: The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

“great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

the cevichi is as good as it gets.... I don't know anywhere else in the area to get it and I've enjoyed cevichi for many years in different places around the world.
The food is excellent and the service is very accommodating and helpful - There's nothing disappointing except for perhaps a long wait (if you don't have reservations) and the noise level can be loud. Not the best place for young children since the wait for the made-to-order food is probably longer than the average restaurant but I guess that's what ipads are for.
I have already turned friends and family on to this restaurant and will continue to do so.

“You won't be disappointed”

We ate outside by the glow of candlelight & pedestal heaters... It was a very romantic setting. The ceviche shot was delicious. We had a red snapper fish in a spicy red sauce and steak fajitas that were flavorful & tender. The service can't be beat.

“Delightful Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

We recently made our first visit to El Tule. After reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a try for dinner. We were delighted with the food, service and ambiance. We each enjoyed our Tacu Tacu entrees...one with ceviche and one with red snapper and crabmeat. And the Peruvian ice cream sampler was a perfect dessert. Fortunately, it was a warm evening for early October, so we were able to dine outside on the beautiful patio while listening to the music and enjoying a good bottle of (byob) wine with our food. All in all, it was a delightful evening.
