The ramada Limited Jersey city is just good hotel for NYC visitors. the area is safe and the connections to NYC by PATH trains is just perfect. The price is mid range, but the service and room you get for the price is great. We stayed several times there and every single time they just proove the great stay. SO I WOULD RECOMMEND IT! Really great place to stay.

Stayed here for 20 days in August on business.
First the negatives
-Stayed on the 4th floor and for 5 days out of the 20 that i stayed one of the lifts was out of service (hotel only had 2 lifts). This was annoying as you had wait awhile for the one working lifts especially when the staff were moving baggage up and down.
-On on of the days housekeeping neglected to clean the room, which i found lazy and unprofessional but didn't bother too much since it only happened once and i was mostly in NYC during the day.
Now for the postives
-Great value for money, far cheaper than staying NYC
-Good location, 10 minutes to the PATH station which takes you into Manhattan in 15 minutes
-Lots of food places around but keep in mind that it's a slightly rough neighborhood (wouldn't recommend walking around at 2am)
-Free breakfast was great, will save you around $5-$10 a day if you had to get it in NYC. Nothing fancy just cornflakes, muffins, fruits and coffee but good for the dudget traveller
-Hotel has a small fitness center
-Free Wi-Fi is also available in the room. Room also has TV, fridge, microwave, cofee ,machine, safe and an iron. Ice maker is available in the corridor in all floors.
Overall this is not super fancy but i'd definitely stay here again and i'd recommend it to the budget traveller.

i chose this particular hotel as we had a weeding in nearby newport jersey city and wasn't willing to pay nearly $300 a night for rooms in that area, the first plus for me was a free shuttle to the hotel from newark airport, front desk checked us in at 11.50am after a long flight, another plus, the room was actually two rooms, one part had the large king bed, the other room had a smaller double bed, the bathroom was a little on the small side though and the room(s) were a little on the warm side though weather wise it was about 65-70 degrees outside

i was expecting the area to be much worse but it was fine, its not as nice as mid-town manhattan obviously but its better than north bergen just up the road where i have stayed before, location wise its about 5 mins walk from the PATH station at journal square which takes to you to WTC in 15 mins and about 20mins to 33rd street, $1.75 for a one-way ticket.

there are plenty of budget dining options within easy walking distance of the ramada such as mcdonalds, bk, subway, quiznos etc but for me the best option is VIP diner which is just around the corner and great value.........but quite busy as you would expect

During our Modterm break, we have stayed for 4 nights in the Ramada Limited Jersey City. The hotel is conveniently located within 5-10 minutes walking distance to Journal Square Path Train station which takes you in 15 min. to WTC/Manhattan. The surrounding is a mixture of small shops and residential area - you can easily get sthg. for dinner and the location felt safe.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly, they offer free bathroom utensils if you have forgotten them and are happy to advise you on any questions that could arise. The complimentary breakfast includes everything you might be looking for and the rooms are just huge. A really good location to spend a low cost stay close to the NY attractions!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here, the rooms are clean and comfortable (did not see any bed bugs either), breakfast and Newark Int airport shuttle is included in the room cost. Looked at NYC hotels but the cost were 3 times more for less. The breakfast area can be a "zoo", free breakfast has its draw with the guest, most times there is only 1 staff member replenishing the breakfast items e.g. bread, fruit, yogurt, pastries etc. Had to ask 3 times for a banana one morning and for whatever reason items are frugally replenished, therefore many of the items are not available unless you ask. The staff working the breakfast area are not very happy to be there and can be seen chatting with other staff on the side while breakfast items run out. Seating is also hard to find, suggest just taking the food up to your room some guests can be seen standing and eating. Another toaster will reduce the bottle neck of guest waiting for their toast. This breakfast does not include any protein, lots of starch and good luck scoring a yogurt as only 5 or so are put out at any one time. The airport shuttle last pick from the airport is at 10:30pm. The bathtub filled up when taking a shower, slow to drain. Sleeping in later can be difficult as you can hear the vacuuming in the hallway as early as 8am.

Spend a little more money and go to a better place. This was awful. Even though we still had to pay for the room, we refused to stay here. Just horrible.

It was a decent priced hotel near the PATH train into the city. The customer service was great. There was a place to park at a decent rate nearby, but not at the hotel itself. The room was comfortable, big and clean. The bathroom was a bit small. Overall, I enjoyed the stay for the 4th of July weekend, but it was a bit pricey if you are staying by yourself, but I was with friends so it was a decent price.
