It was a very nice Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and actually had a couch in it. The response from the staff was very quick when we needed something. Staff very nice. We loved the views from the pier on which the Hotel was sitting. Especially at night. Great view of the Freedom Tower as well at the Empire State Building. Also had view of Ellis Island as well as the Statue of Liberty. Would definitely stay her again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors.

Stayed in Jersey city with the best view of NYC. The path train is literally out the front door and has you at WTC in five minutes. The room size is large compared to NYC standards and the area has several restaurants nearby. Would recommend this hotel if you are looking for family place to stay, as long as you are willing to commute..

Best way to end and start our year. Thank you Mick for suggesting and showing us the upgraded room, I was going to turn down. The best room we have ever stayed in. The view was absolutely amazing, and we ended up spending New Years Eve in the room. Just couldn't beat the views. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. This was definitely our best Hyatt stay ever. Thank you Hyatt Gold Passport too. You cannot beat this hotel for the convenience of getting into New York, next to PATH station but it's a great area around the hotel as well. Great place to take a morning run, local markets and restaurants. You cannot go wrong. Enjoy!!

Great Hotel in a great location. The view of Manhattan is awesome. It was my 3rd time in NYC but had never been Jersey side before. We used the PATH train which was very easy and cheap. I would definitely recommend this Hotel. It takes 5 minutes to The World Trade Centre and 20 minutes to 33rd Street with a change at either Newport or Grove.

Checked in fine but room was disgusting as the previous guest had been smoking in there. Changed rooms, not offered an upgrade but did get free breakfast. Window blind broken too. At breakfast, waited 20 mins for a table, then the buffet was almost empty and very "tired" - hardly any fruit. No free WiFi - $9 per day per device??? So much for Hyatt Gold...

We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights. The PATH train is beside the hotel and it took us little time to travel to NYC. The staff were courteous and always available to assist with directions, questions and gave great suggestions for NYC. The view is spectacular--worth the room upgrade for the Hudson view.

Our stay at the Hyatt was a happy accident, arranged by a friend, and we were pleasantly surprised at how roomy the property feels. And as one might expect from the Hyatt name, the staff we encountered were all gracious and hospitable, volunteering greetings and offers of assistance without prompting. It made for a memorable stay in the NYC area.

The hotel extends out into the Hudson River, so half the rooms look upriver towards midtown Manhattan; the other half look downriver towards the Statue of Liberty. And just steps outside the hotel's front door, a PATH station offers direct service to the World Trade Center station across the river, or connecting service to Herald Square in midtown.

The Exchange Place area around the hotel is very business-centered, so there didn't seem to be lots of activity on the streets at night or on the weekend - and a steady bustle during the workday. But being just minutes from Manhattan meant that everything you could want was just a subway ride away, at any time.

We were beyond pleased with our cozy room. The convenient number of electrical outlets at the desk was a big plus, so we could charge all our electronic devices each night before heading into the city again the next day. We were thrilled that our room had a sweeping view of midtown, which we could enjoy while lazing on the oversized couch. Overall, the room was comfortable and much larger than anything I'd expected in the NYC area. The price is lower than midtown, too, and we'll definitely consider coming back to this Hyatt on our next visit.
