Excellent location and just a one stop from PATH WTC station or 5 stops to 33 street.
Excellent view on Manhattan skyline with excellent hotel amenities.
Cons only overpriced breakfast and thin doors.

Room Tip: Choose a room on Manhattan skyline view.

For the 4th of July holiday I decided to pack up the kids and book a night at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson to view the annual Macy's 4th of July fireworks. I've stayed at this hotel before (sans the kids) and as usual, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Check in was fast and hassle-free, the hotel staff members were very friendly and accomodating, the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and in abundance and of course the views of the New York skyline were magnificent. What made our stay particularly fantastic was this - the hotel opened up its grand ballroom for guests to view the fireworks from the attached walk-out balcony. The ballroom had red, white and blue balloons blown up for the children, there were complimentary snacks set out and a rolling cash bar for beverages, beer and wine. It was a little crowded but the fireworks display was still viewable and generally spectacular. It's little things like this that'll make me return again and again to the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. Now, if only the parking fee ($32 valet) wasn't so darn high, this hotel would be absolutely perfect (smile).

The Hyatt is a great hotel if you want access to the city, but without the hassle of staying in the city. The PATH train is only 50 feet from the entrance to the hotel. The rooms are well appointed and have great views of the Hudson River and the city. You can also access the dock for the ferry to the financial district. The breakfast buffet is good but service can be a bit spotty. The pool and fitness room are a bit small, but can be ok for small children. The service in general was very good.

The Hyatt Regency Jersey City htel is a beauyiful hotel located on te Hudson River. You can see the beautiful New York skyline from most roms. If you're really lucky, you may get a room with the vew of the Statute of Liberty. The food is delicious in the Vu restaurant. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices and vey enjoyable. It's a little pricey but worth it. If you're there near te Fourth of July an extraagant display of fireworks can be seen from this hotel. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are comfortable. This hotel is near the Path Train and NJ lightrail where you can easily access New York city.
A great choice to stay if you dont't want to drive in that city traffic.

Room Tip: Ask fr a room on the 6th floor or higher!

We enjoyed our 2 nights at the HR Jersey City, we had room 111 on the ground floor with a NYC view across the Hudson. Pretty much Hyatt standard, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Maybe too much furniture would be my only criticism. Gym and indoor pool on this level.

The view from the bar and restaurant are just amazing, day and especially at night. Not sure you would get views of Manhattan like that on Manhattan?

The rates at this hotel certainly make it a viable option for visiting NYC, there is a PATH station right outside, $2.75, 1 stop, 3 minutes and bang, you are at WTC.

Starbucks nearly on the door step too.

Food was very good at the bar, happy to split an order as well.

We had dinner in the main restaurant, a rib eye and a Sirloin, we stuffed the lot, even though they were big American portions. Very tasty and service was good.

Would certainly return if in the area again.
