I was scheduled to stay here via a prepaid reservation during Hurricane Sandy. To make a long story short, the hotel staff (especially Rasha at the front desk) went out of their way to be accommodating considering the extenuating circumstances. Then when the travel company screwed up and wanted to charge me an extra fee (which Rasha had told me they would waive), the hotel set them straight. Nice to see such great service at a big chain hotel.

We booked this hotel prior to leaving from Manhattan on a cruise. We priced out Manhattan hotels and this one certainly was reasonable. There is a water taxi that will take you over to the city, however, it wasn't running the weekend we were there. The hotel is very attractive being right on the hudson river. In fact, the morning of our cruise, we watched our cruise ship pass right by the hotel on the way to the Manhattan cruise terminal. They offer car service to take you into Manhattan. We had a driver take us to the cruise terminal which cost $79 each way plus gratuity. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. It is in the business district, so on the weekends especially in October when we were there, it was a ghost town. Au Bon Pan and Star bucks are a block away for an easy morning pastry and coffee.

Room Tip: If you are leaving your car there long term (5+ days) as we did for our cruise, ask for special pricing. Our parking was suppose to be $32 per night but they dropped it to $20 per night. Which is far less than the cruise terminals daily parking rates.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and our experience was super. We were right next door to the Path train into the city and only one stop to the World Trade Center. Traveling into the city was a cinch. As soon as you approach the hotel, the view of the New York skyline is breathtaking. The whole staff was as nice as can be, and the concierge was extremely helpful.
The only thing that was disappointing was the inside pool area. It was dark and dreary and did not include a hottub. After a long day in the city,it would have been nice to relax in one.
We would not allow this disappointment to stop us from coming to this hotel again. All the advantages outweighed the one disadvantage. We will come back to stay very soon.

Very good hotel with just a short train ride to Manhattan... Nice rooms, but dont use the restaurant even if the view is great. Bad service and the food was terrible. Nice gym in the hotel, which is free for guests.

This hotel is a terrific place to stay when visitin NY city! The view is amazing , just to start with! The location is great because you can hop onto the path train , which is right next to the hotel and get to the city in 10 minutes, plus be close to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island too! Plus just enjoying the pier , the music, etc. Also great is the ferry as a way to get to the city, a super ride too!! The rooms are beautiful, both sides , either view is great. The restaurant and bar are terrific too, the food, the service , the staff. They are so willing to help and answer your requests. One truly outstanding feature of the hotel is the connsierrage staff. Any of them will answer any questions you may have , either before you arrive or while you are there, Dont think any request is to much for them to handle. We stayed there with my husband's family in August and are planning to return next August because it was so great. Really great because you can be in the busy city all day and then come back to the nice quiet, beautiful hotel!!

Room Tip: either side of the hotel is great!!
