If you are planning a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure Park in New Jersey. The park is located on Route 537, in Jackson, New Jersey. In general, the park is great. They have tons of coasters that are a lot of fun, food is way overpriced. We had bought season passes this summer and definitly used it! The kids had a great time on the rides... We like to come a lot during the week so the lines weren't as bad as weekends. We only like stay for a few hours and then come back. The Superman roller coaster had the feeling of flying with the twist and turns of the real Superman. A lots of fun. I was up, down, sideways, every which way a body can turn and twist. Awesome.

Green Lantern was the greatest for me. My body felt I was doing G Force on a stealth fighter. Right, left, up, down and backwards I think.

Six Flags Great adventure does have Kingda Ka the TALLEST roller coaster in the WORLD,

The Dark Knight: very good

Houdini's Great Escape: is boring, inducing. Not exciting at all

Skull Mountain: great coaster

Overall, Six Flags Great Adventure is a great way to spend a summer day or fall afternoon

this is ONLY in regards to Fright fest. as the part is extremely different when fright fest is not going on.
three of us went for fright fest on the last saturday the park was doing it. Where to locate these special attractions are very confusing. the lines are COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS!!! to the point were we pretty much were forced to pay the EXTRA $40 Per Person, JUST to be placed in a "Shorter line", which was about a 1/4 of the time from the normal line. the lines for all the haunted houses are so bad, at one point i think it was 3 hours. its just not worth going at all unless you are prepared to buy the extra pass for $40- this pass is ONLY for the fright fest haunted houses. NOT the rides, we also bought a speed pass for the RIDES, and those were almost as bad. so, once you actually get IN the haunted houses, most of them were good, scary. we only went in the once rated most scary, not for children, although we did see some stupid parents bringing their kid into one of these and the poor thing was balling. we will go back, but we will have to save up for it, you will spend a bucket of money at this place for fright fest. but all in all it was fun

It is extremely helpful to have a season pass. You will end up paying much less in the long haul then going to your local amusement park like luna park for example.
The safety precautions for rides are excellent, However, keep your children close to you at all times, there doesn't seem to be protocol in place when employees become aware of a child separated from his family.

Went to "fright fest" here and had a great time. Went with several kids and they were pretty scared. I'm a roller coaster guy and I definitely had my share of fun. Definitely worth to get the "Flash Pass" as it gets you up to the front of the line(lines can vary from 1/2 hr to over 11/2 hrs depending when you go.

Great Fright Fest this year!
You have to go early in October when it's a little less crowded to enjoy it.
