We were delighted to celebrate our granddaughter's first birthday at Hudson Table. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. The place is absolutely lovely, with reclaimed and industrial furniture, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and a cooking station within the room. The staff were not only attentive, but pleasant and respectful. The best part was the food which was prepared during the party (right in the room). We started with delicious appetizers, including prosciutto with cheese, mozzarella on toast, and rice balls with a homemade marinara sauce. For the main course, there was a sautéed chicken dish, tender grilled steak, grilled brussel sprouts with pancetta, pasta with a creamy sauce and roasted peas, and a delicious salad with roasted pumpkin seeds. The combination of the flavors was outstanding and every item was perfectly prepared. To top it all off, they served the most delicious pumpkin cheesecake with a crumble topping in individual glasses. So good that one of my friends ate three servings! I can't rave enough about this place and I am looking forward to attending another event there in the near future. P.S. They offer cooking classes which sound like so much fun.

We attended the hands-on "Great Summer Dishes" cooking class this past Sunday. The venue was clean, bright and cheery. The advanced preparation of trays with ingredients was welcome. We made salmon ceviche, a watermelon and heirloom tomato salad, a summer Bolognese pasta and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The dishes were all very good and the chef/instructor was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Dinner is BYOB. It is was a great time out. We will go back.

We attended a chef's table with wine pairing and had a great time. The chef, Eton Chan explained his background, both personally and culinarily. His farm to table theme was consistant with eveything that was seasonally fresh. The wine pairings by Anna Zuck of Meridian were spot on per course, and the ricotta dumplings were the offspring of a matzah ball and gnocchi. A tasty and fun night.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 1st time at Hudson Table. Took the Spanish Tapas class on Saturday night as a couple. Class was well-organized, everything was prepared when we arrived, and Chef Breanna was knowledgeable, personable & did a great job facilitating the class. Food turned out deliciously, and we enjoyed our time with the other 3 couples taking the class. They also provide copies of the recipes & let you take home leftovers! It was a great way to try some new foods that you've not been willing to order at a restaurant or try making at home. We'll definitely be back.

We just left the Hudson Table Brunch, which was a Chef's Table with Chef Will Lustberg. If you like food television series, this chef was on Chopped and Hell's Kitchen. This Culinary Studio is a beautiful space located in a section of Hoboken where parking is pretty easy. There are two local parking garages, and if you are lucky, there is also some pretty easily found street parking. The space is bright, inviting, upscale, and all you would expect for the type of establishment it is -- a Culinary Studio.

The event we attended was the type where the Chef cooks for you (you do not do the cooking), and you are served a fabulous meal (they have other types of events too, so check out their website for the calendar -- they also host private parties). This chef was the guest chef of the day, but it changes at the Chef's Table events, as well as the other events they have on a weekly basis. At this event, there were about ten other diners besides the four of us. The conversation was easy and relaxed.

You face the chef in the spotless and beautiful kitchen, and he (and the staff, along with the co-owner Allen Bari) spoils you with interesting food and life tid-bits of conversation, as well as scrumptious food. For this meal, we had Parmesan Madelines (with a roasted tomato jam that was likely one of our favorite items), Crab Oscar (delicious crab cakes with very little breading and just a bit of spice), Peach and Ricotta Tart over Arugula (the lemon dressing on the salad was one of the best I have ever had, and the prosciutto was prepared in a new and exciting way for us), and finally Lobster and Campanelle (huge chunks of Lobster -- to die for).

This experience is worth the travel to Hoboken if you live far, and a MUST for people who live near the area. EVEN NEW YORK CITY FOLKS should head over. The Path and Uber make it very easy to access! Do not hesitate; the experience is worth it.
