Chef Tony welcomed us just like we were coming into his mama's kitchen. Tony gave us the history of Lisa's and showed us how to make his delicious homemade fresh mozzarella. The freshly made sandwiches were delicious. The fresh mozzarella is the best I've ever tasted.

Did a bit of research so took the time and trouble to hunt down this great deli. Walked in the rain for at least 30 minutes to get there. However it was worth it. Mozzarella will spoil you for life as it is freshly made on the premises, had stuffed rice balls, and Italian meatball sandwich as well. All of which was amazing. Wish I had a bigger appetite as I could have spent all day eating in there! If you are a lover of Italian food take the time and effort to go there. I am sure Tony Soprano would have liked it!

Tried many mutz's in town and Lisa's still comes on top. Never dined outside here but have gotten taken out and always good.

If you are in the mood for old fashion Italian food, then this is the place. Tony is great and very welcoming. This is an old school Italian deli where your sandwiches are made to order and they are huge.

Loved the place - a throwback to the old school Italian deli. This is a must for food in Hoboken. We had the mozzarella which was made fresh - it was the best I've ever had. We also had a sub which was made to perfection. The owner came and spoke with us and is the genuine article.
