Trinity is good because of its location, right on the water. I would say its food is generally ok depending on what you get. They have a tavern menu, which is typically good and a more expensive dinner menu that I have found to be hit or miss.

“Great location, so-so food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2012

I ate at two places in Hoboken - East LA (508 Washington St) and this place at the end of Sinatra Drive, near the W Hotel. The two could not have been more different. This is attempt at swish with "the best waterfront seating restaurant in Hoboken" - and I have to agree that this area has great waterfront views of the New York City skyline.

However, writing as a Brit, the restaurant and food are nothing very special, in fact it is fairly standard 'good American' - keep it simple and you'll enjoy it. I say this all as a positive, and it has what would pass as reasonable wines from a European perspective, as well as doing Guiness etc.

If you are on a date or in a mix of folk - where food is not top priority - and out to enjoy a night that includes a walk gazing at NYC skyline, then this may be for you.
[ East LA is much less swish, has no views except of the local characters, but much more interesting food - but then I was visiting not entertaining another.]

“Sunday brunch.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2012

Sunday brunch with a view of NYC. it was perfect. The Irish breakfast was especially good. A little slow on the food prep since it was not crowded but not bad. Luckily we had no place to be. But definitely go and enjoy the food.

“Not soo good!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2012

Well, I went there for New Years Eve. I pay $40 for food I did not like at all, well the salad was eatable, but the stuff raviolli with lobster sauce look like a soup of raviolli to me instead of sauce, and the chocolate cake was also so nasty!!! Also, be aware that on holidays they do not validate the $25 for parking, although there is a sign in the garage that says so and the people over there tell you so, too!!! Service was ok.
