Bike paths are smooth and flat with tremendous scenic views. The orchid greenhouse is certified platinum for energy efficiency. The old foundation shows where the prior mansion was located. The great falls is interesting but barely flows in the summer.

Great for walking and picnicking. Whatever you bring you must take out. No garbage cans or recycle bins so be prepared to take your garbage with you.

Has a farmer's market with fresh produce. As noted by others, admission is free. Closed on Wednesdays. We will definitely be back.

If you are in New Jersey and seeking a refuge from the suburban sprawl and/or urban congestion this place is a haven of green -- with free admission. If you are looking for a great place to ride a bike on paved, wide, smooth roads with NO cars at all -- this is an ideal spot. If, however, you are interested in visiting an arboretum or botanical gardens (there are so many in the greater Philadelphia area) you will be disappointed. I went today with my camera and tripod expecting at least part of the Duke Farms would be like Morris or Tyler Arboretum, or Chanticleer Garden -- and it is not like that at all. The trees were by and large rather scruffy looking and there were no flowers, aside from a very few wildflowers.

There IS a greenhouse for orchids, but it was a beautiful summer day and didn't want to be indoors. I did not see any picnic tables.

I live close by and visit often. I ride my bike through the estate but you can walk or take the tram. On weekends, parking can fill up quick so get there early. They have a visitor center where you can get a map, see some local history, or use the public restrooms.

Inside the estate is very beautiful and peaceful. There are a lot of trails to walk, run or bike on, including pavement, gravel and grass. Make sure to bring some food and water, but take all your trash out with you. And don't forget your camera!

It was a very nice place to take a walk, bikes were available to rent. We live so close, and were happy we finally got there. The children have gone back for bike rides.

Amazing that this attraction is free to park....free to enter. So enjoyable!! "Duke Farms is one of the largest privately owned parcels of open land in New Jersey". Be sure to take advantage of their bike rentals....just $5 per person. Smooth bikes paths. So much ground to cover.....seemed like more people used bikes than chose to walk. No cash accepted for the bike rentals....bring your credit card. Every time there was a fork in the bike path the options were well marked.
Check out this place of natural beauty.
Terrific!
