After spending a day at the beach with the family we were looking for a casual dinner with the standard fair at a reasonable price. We made a great choice by stopping at Off the Hook. First thing that drew us in was the crowd always a good measure. The staff was very friendly. The menu had many options for us and the kids. The food was above average. My wife in particular enjoyed her crab cake and she is particular about her food. Very casual dining with a view of the ocean, perfect to cap off a day at the beach. The adjacent highway was a little loud at time but really not an issue. Not the best choice if the weather is bad as much of the seating is outside. They have a pretty good bar if that is what you looking for. Overall recommend for good food, friendly staff and casual setting. Followed up with a stop at Moby's right under the bridge within walking distance for dessert. Great value.

If you aren't usually a fan of seafood, the food here will turn you around. I was with a work associate who asked where I wanted to eat for dinner and I said "any place except seafood." He didn't listen and brought me here, and I'm glad he did! The crab cakes were tender, large and flavorful. We also had scallops as an appetizer, which were beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was friendly and the outdoor seating overlooking the bridge and water just added to the experience. Casual and relaxing atmosphere, a great place to go after a day at work!

We stopped here for fish and chips which was not on the menu, so we ordered the fried flounder sandwich which was cooked to perfection and so delicious, not to mention a generous sized filet, too! The New England clam chowder was one of the best chowders we've ever had and we've ordered it many, many times in other establishments. The service was efficient and the staff was friendly. The weather cooperated and we were lucky enough to eat outside and had terrific views of the ocean and the cruise ships passing by in the distance. All this and the prices were very reasonable! Can't wait to go back!

Nice little place to eat for lunch close to the sandy hook bridge. We visited the navesink twin lights and spoted this place. The nachos with chili were yummy. Awesome view if you get a chance to sit outside.

This restaurant is set at the beginning of the Sandy Hook Bridge,
Food is hit or miss from what I understand, with that said.. we've hit it every time we've been there. Seafood is fresh and very tasty, Sangria is just right. Servings are generous and nothing was greasy. Service is casual but fun, The outside deck seating overlooks the highway and the bridge, you can see the bay at a distance. It can get buggy at night bring bug spray.
