We would not have traveled to this restaurant normally, but thank goodness for the gift certificate. And now we will return with or without any promotion. DW and I arrived at the pub-style place at 6:30 pm on a Thursday night. We were first customers in a small seating area, across from the bar, but by 7 four more tables filled up.
Drink: there were 11 artisan beers on tap, and a special for the night $3 pint. Drinks were good and reasonably priced.
Food: the menu is not extensive, but we found plenty of choices. I had the blackboard special strip steak. It was grilled exactly as requested. Nicely seasoned and good quality. Included garlic mashed potatoes, zucchini, fresh warm bread, and a surprise: pickled chayote. A wonderful dish. somewhat like cole slaw. DW had mussels in an anise broth. Very good, generous portion. And possibly the best of the best was the french fried sweet potatoes...a delicacy.
Overall, we rated both food and service as excellent.
