Stay frequently at Howard Johnson in Hammonton, NJ. Service is wonderful. Entire staff is friendly and most accommdating. Carol, the front desk, is one of a kind! Warm, welcoming and always ready and able to take care of every need. She is truly an asset to this establishment. Having managed a small inn myself, I know how critical it is to any business to have someone like Carol on staff. Kudos all around!

The carpet was fairly new. But the quality of the bathroom tile, the mildew in the bathroom, the gross coffee maker, the odor in the room, and the stains on the furniture led me to mistrust the every surface.

Continental breakfast was terrible quality. Even the coffee I didn't trust.

The room was clean and are very reasonably priced. The staff was very nice. The room did have a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom had been updated some. The outside of the hotel was kept clean also. Breafast was the standard continental breafast, but was good. Location is good, easily accessible to Atlantic City and also the Valenzano winery in Shamong.

sometimes a good hotel is not just how big the flatscreen is but mainly the people who run it and this was my number 1.

you need a place to sleep and people that help you exploring the eastcoast and NYC and philly and washington and atlantic city and cape may and NJ with all their malls with no taxes on cloth - this is the perfect silent hotel to stay in

affordable - spend the saved money on a pair of nike ....

thank you for the pleasant stay.

My husband and I were traveling to visit my family in New Jersey...last minute. I googled hotels in the area, found this one. Price did say on the internet that it was $67 per night (on whichever website I used to compare prices) but it was $54 for the weekday nights and $71 on Friday, and $89 on Saturday. The room had TV, Refrigerator, Microwave, iron, hairdryer, and Coffee maker. Coffee Maker wasn't the greatest but overall all were just what was needed for our 4 night stay. The Continental Breakfast was the usual fare - but it was pleasant and the area was clean. Room was clean and did not smell musty. They were like clockwork with their cleaning. Staff was helpful. Asked for an extra towel and it was given with no problem. The pool was sparkling clean. Checkin and checkout went smooth. On all nights except Saturday, internet was fast without losing connection. Saturday I assume it was slow due to the volume. I wasn't able to stay connected just that one day. I would definately stay again if I am looking for a place in that area. It was close enough to my family and we were able to make trips out to Atlantic City, Batsto, and Tuckerton.

This is a basic lower-end chain motel at a reasonable price. Our room was clean enough that we were comfortable spending the night but could use updating (new tile, bedding, etc.). We couldn't watch TV because the remote was missing and it was the only way to change the cable channels. It was quiet when we were there, so we slept soundly (I'm a light sleeper and often have trouble getting a good night's sleep in hotels). Free breakfast was OK - cereals, bagels, muffins, waffles. Location is very good, easily accessible to Atlantic City and Pine Barrens recreation areas.

This resembles your typical roadside motor inn. The rooms, grounds and pool area were very clean. The pool crystal clear. Rooms can use a little work but no major problems. We were there for a weddiing and our room had a king size bed, sofa, microwave, coffee pot, refrig and sink. The bathroom was large. We had free WiFi which was easy to connect to and adequate parking. The manger was very acomodating and the free breakfast with waffles was the typical nothing fantastic but then nothing bad about it. The sign said to 10am but they kept it open latter

Room Tip: Ground floor as there is no elevator.
