“Had a good dining experience”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Went out to Annata for our anniversary dinner. The seating was pretty comfortable and the restaurant has a feel of a nice Italian restaurant to it. The wine selection was rather extensive. If you know your wine, you'll find something you will enjoy.
We ordered lobster mac and cheese and some type of sausage egg roll. The mac portion was pretty huge. And the egg rolls came in a pair. If you want a big portion, get one one thing. If you want variety, be prepared to spend a bit more.
The one drawback: We can't blame the restaurant for this, but we parked on Bellevue Ave. literally 100ft from the front door. When we got out, we saw a ticket on our car for an expired registration. Yes we should have had this taken care of and it's our fault and it beats being pulled over for it but make sure you have you have a clean record before trolling Hammonton.

“Extremely disappointing”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

This was my first AND LAST visit to Annata's. Last Tuesday night I met two friends at this attractive restaurant in downtown Hammonton. I had heard great things about this place and had recommended we meet there. The menu is tapas and we asked our waitress for help navigating it since dishes come in small and large servings. She was helpful and pleasant. She suggested we start with the Italian Wedding soup, saying that it was better than her grandmother's. She also recommended a small tower of eggplant tower, a large serving of the sea bass and a large shrimp salad. Everything sounded so yummy and we were excited. Our soup arrived and it ended up being much too salty. Next came the rest of the meal and unfortunately the food did not get any better. The eggplant actually tasted watery, something I have never experienced before. It wasn’t mushy but tasted like water. I wonder if the ricotta needed to be drained longer. The salad shrimp which was wrapped in prosciutto was overcooked and tough, too tough to even eat. The best part of the meal was the sea bass which, sad to say, was just ok. Overall the experience was disappointing to say the least.

“Worth the drive!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Wonderful Tapas and entrees. This restaurant is Big City taste in a small, out of the way town. Very sophisticated menu and its all very good. We were with a large group (8) and service was very good, wine selection is impressive and prices are outstanding! If Annata were in Philly, the prices would be double what they are in Hammonton. Worth going out of your way for an evening here. Noise level is a little too energetic, but the quality of the food overrides the noise.

“A Hidden Gem in Hammonton”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Our first visit to Annata, preceded our night of theater at the Eagle Theater, also in Hammonton. (Saw A Chorus Line - also terrific!!) What a delightful, comfortable and pleasant dining experience we had. The atmosphere is terrific, nice comfortable arm chairs, great wine selection, rivals 4 star restaurants, and the food is fantastic. We ordered Tapas style, two of us, my wife and I. Salad was more than enough for both of us, then we shared 3 tapas dishes, small size. We had Ahi Tuna, Crabcake & Lollipop Lamb Chops. The smaller sizes afforded us enough portions for us both, with no leftovers to take home. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, this restaurant is a "gem" and we encourage others to visit. We will be returning often.

“Hidden in Plain Sight on the Main Street”
Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

Went into Annata's recently for the first time. We could not have been happier that we did. The atmosphere is wonderful and the ladies that were running it could not have been more pleasant or eager to help. We split the small wedge salad which was HUGE for two people. The bleau cheese dressing was amazing. We each then had some Italian wedding with tortellini soup which was also very good. For our entree we followed the waitress's advice and went Tapas. We ordered two of the larger entrees to split (there were two of us eating). Let me tell you that the amount of food was a lot! Do not expect to get "morsels" because the menu prices are not too high. The value is tremendous. We shared the Eggplant Towers (to die for!) and the Braciole and homemade Risotto (also delicious). We probably should've gotten the smaller portion of the Braciole dish because there was so much! But it gave is another meal for the next day at home! Next time you're in Hammonton give this place a try. And go hungry!! You won't be disappointed!
