I originally intended to give it two stars, but the waiter staff was good so i gave it average at best.
The restaurant seems new however it doesn't feel Italian, more like a poor combination jersey shore restaurant with too much glitter. The waiter staff was good to excellent and it reflected in the tip i gave then.
As far as the food...this is the first and last time i will ever go to Maggiono's. The reasons are: The place is much too noisy with little or no sound abatement material. I could not hear the conversation with friends at our table unless we raised our voices or said Huh...can you repeat that. We also had to compete with non Italian "boom ditty boom" music This loudness also leads to other than a pleasant ,soothing, enjoyable meal. Besides the noise we were crowded into the main dining area with zero room between my chair and the chair at the next table. All they did is to take a table for 4 that converts to a table for 8, thereby reducing walk thru space to Zero....We were crowded like cattle in holding pens..........this is totally unacceptable

FOOD / WINE......If you don't know good Italian food then this place is for you. I would rather eat at a local pizza parlor or restaurant that serves authentic Italian food, is not noisy, has comfortable seating and priced below the non authentic over priced Maggiono's.
DESSERTS.....Good and Authentic. Had to send my espresso back because it was not hot.

Maggiono's will do well and prosper with clientele that accepts their rendition of Italian Food.

“Marco's Dinner for 2 is a great deal!”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

I've recently rediscovered Maggianos. They have revitalized their menu so that it's not all about family size portions anymore. The best deal is the Marco's Dinner for 2 where you get an appetizer, 2 pastas, and 1 dessert for $40. On top of that, you also get to bring home two pasta dishes to reheat at home. This really is a great deal and you'll be stuffed with plenty of leftovers to take home.

As always, the service and food at Maggianos is top notch so would highly recommend!

“Pretty Disappointing”

We had to wait a significant amount of time to be seated even though we had a reservation. Everything was super salty. My fiance got food spilled on her.

“Fast Food, Italian Sit Down Noisey Dinning.”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

We went to Maggianno's Little Italy restaurant on Saturday night. Fortunately we had reservations for 8 so we were seated as soon as everyone in our party arrived. We were seated and then we waited, and waited shouted to each other since it was so noisey, and waited, and waited. After a half an hour we inquired why no waiter or waitress has visited us to take our order and leave bread. butter, water , drinks etc. Apparentely our waiter was overwhelmed by the sheer number of dinners and forgot about us. Well finnally a new waiter was assigned to us and the food was OK for fast food italian. I particularly liked the fact that we were getting food portions to take home for tommorrow, that was a real plus. If you like fast food italian you will enjoy this place, if you want quality, not so much.

“Don't miss a GREAT Italian restaurant”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

While we stayed overnite in FairLawn, we heard about Maggiano.s restaurant about 15 minutes away @Hackensack Mall. Wow, what a lovely home styled Italian decor, everything from "checkered table clothes", to outstanding customer service & if you love to eat, there's plenty of it!! I Didn't realize this was a chain restaurant, but that did't bother me, we had never been! They were very accommodating as far as bar service & recommending the specials. When you are in the area, don't miss.
