FRENCHTOWN IS A FIND! and THE place to hang is the National Hotel. Big porch or old plank floored dining room for brunch. Detail intense, fabulous food! seasonal menu. WELCOMING! LIVE music in the subterrainian pub. Bar is kept with local interesting color. all the characters jammed in with la turistas. the azing din of comraderie. Test the bar menu. Preeth, the owner is a culinary creative genius. I grew to love this place. It's not one of those locals bars that frowns on the tourists,. Nope, not this village.
Pretty dern good local musicians jam the sign up for OPEN MIKE night. You Play? Pack your ax! This palce is worth a return trip or three. Tube the Delaware River. Drop in and spend an hour wandering around Two Buttons. NO HINTS, but you MUST explore this place. enter by the giant budda. Next to "lovin oven"

“When they are on...they are great”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Several visits to the National have produced conflicting results. Our most recent visit confirmed that the National is one of the areas treasures.
The menu changes constantly along with the seasons and the flavor combinations are uniquely delicious. The service has (with a few exceptions) been very good and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable.
On the occasions where the dining experience was less than expected the management was diligent in attempting to correct the problem.

“Really good Lebanese appetizer”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We had been there about 3 years ago and were not impressed. They've improved a lot. Nice to sit outside on porch. We had burgers after the great appetizer. They were fine. Fries a little to well done otherwise good. Watched police pull people over for going through stop sign all night.

“Natonal Hotel Worth The Drive”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Went for dinner on a Saturday night after reading a few reviews and we were very pleased. Lamb sliders and fries were excellent, calamari appetizer was unusual and very tasty (cumin and a subtle sauce), many very intriguing items on menu to try on a return visit. Unfortunately their duck confit entree flew off the menu (waitress's pun) so I missed out on a fave. Attentive service, beautiful restored building as other reviewers mention, in a quaint town on the Delaware River.

“Read the menu carefully”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

I went here with my family. The hotel is decorated very nice. The roast chicken was very disapointing, it had this weird spice that didnt go with the meat. It seemed pleasant enough to go to in the evening,
