We had a lovely evening at this charming restaurant in the little village of Frenchtown on the Delaware River. We sat in the bar area, but the other dining room had more character...exposed brick walls add a nice warmth to the room. The limited menu has nice choices, and there were numerous daily specials. I had a chunky crab cake served atop an arugula and artichoke salad. The crab cake was tasty, but the salad needed a little dash of lemon or vinegar. My partner had the rib special with onion rings and thin green beans. The meat was falling off the bones and was really tender, but the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste. The onion rings were perfect. The entree prices were between $20-28. Service is friendly and efficient.

This is not your typical mediocre "on the river" location like the ones you will find south of Frenchtown along the Delaware.Good service, very pleasant ambiance and most importantly, very good food.Delicious black bean soup, burgers made from good beef and cooked as we ordered, very tasty red snapper tacos and shrimp/scampi flatbread.Full bar and fair prices. Will definitely go again.

Located on the Delaware river in New Jersey, this quaint inn offers a charming old world dining experience. In the warmer weather, they offer outdoor dining, or you may eat in the bar or the main dining room.
The food is wonderful and there are always additions to the menu. I had the seared scallops in a Pho with noodles and my husband had the ribs. We are never disappointed and I look forward to going back.

We have passed this place many times while visiting family in the area and once managed a quick bite in the bar and recall being impressed by their Lotus flower chips. This recent trip we decided to book a table at the last minute on a Sunday and they managed to get us a table. We were in the mood for a brunch but they didn't serve it, however they do offer two variations of Eggs Benedict which was what we had in mind anyway. We shared the Smoked Salmon appetizer and both ordered their classic Eggs Benedict. For drinks we had their Bloody Mary (Excellent), Pineapple Martini and a Flirtini (very tasty Tini's). The appetizer was delicious and the Eggs Benedict was the best we've ever tasted and we have had our fair share in many locations and we make our own on those lazy Sundays at home. For dessert we had a deconstructed carrot cake and a banana crepe and both were very very good, the carrot cake being exceptional. All the staff are friendly, and very professional and the service was top notch.

The staff was very accommodating with our last minute evening reservation, seating us on the front deck to accomodate our Vizsla pup (although it was chilly fall, they did not mind serving us and bringing water to our pup, Ginger, after a long day playing in the trails located directly across the Hotel). The property is beautiful, the food exquisite, and the staff super friendly. There was a little excitement that day, as a minor accident occurred (no injuries!) - sometimes historic walls can block drivers' views. Even the local police were friendly as can be!
