Chef Ash and his staff provided a marvelous birthday luncheon for my sister’s 75th birthday. Alex, his maître d, was exceptional. Alex made sure that the tables were set up properly, ensured that all our guests were comfortable and even took time to play with two young children while their parents ate their food. Alex did all of this with good nature and a smile.
As for the food: delicious doesn’t adequately describe the luncheon. The rice balls are not to be missed! They are crispy on the outside and soft and deliciously gooey on the inside. The moussaka was absolutely mouth-watering. We had a choice of tilapia, lamb stew tagine, chicken with artichoke, and gnocchi. Each dish was enjoyed by everyone. We even had one vegan show up at the last minute. No problem. They quickly put together a vegan dish with tabouli, sautéed mushrooms broccoli and cauliflower. They also provided chicken fingers and pasta for the two children.
For dessert (even though we we thoroughly full) they plated a strawberry with whipped cream, the most delicious baklava, and a slice of the birthday cake.
Not only was the food excellent, but the presentation of the food was done tastefully and well. I will definitely come back to this restaurant again.
