If you are looking for the classic "roadside" American hot-dog joint -- then this is it! Much different from what it's former neighbor Callahan's used to be, this is a throwback to days gone by. It is not a diner-type place, or the old fashioned soda shop you might be thinking of. It is a simple, plain, no frills "joint" -- they serve hot-dogs and beer (and soda for the kids). Sure, you can get burgers, and other things but this place is famous for hot-dogs.

Some places use beef, some use pork, some go Thumann's and some go Sabrett's -- others too of course. Point being, some people like chocolate and some people like vanilla. You may not like the dog here -- try the chili toppings or the red onion sauce topping -- but this is a classic place. It's not fast-food, but remember what you go here for.

Of course they have a counter -- and sit there if you can. Try the dogs anyway you like them -- sauerkraut, chili, red onions, etc. Doesn't matter.

This is a NJ institution -- and I am a big fan.

You get what you pay for, the burgers are very small and fuel of grease, everything is just oily and greasy and I would rather pay a bit more and go to a diner and eat less oil.

Nothing fancy about this roadside "stand", The decor is from 1974 ?, maybe earlier, but who cares.... room to eat in or if the weather is nice, at the outside table area....Just GREAT hot dogs, deep fried of course! Decent fries, onion rings too! Don't miss this place if you are in the area...a few minute ride from the GW Bridge..ENJOY !

Don't forget for the TR... no, not a train wreck... a toasted roll!

Sit outside with a couple dogs, cheese fries, and a pitcher of beer. Can't beat it!
