Rella's is one of the best kept secrets in the area. Since they opened and upgraded from the previous owners [Charlie Brown's] they have continued to improve. Excellent appetizers, very good dinners.

First time we visited, we were not impressed. Pretty sure it was within the first month they opened. Decided to try Rella's again, and it was pretty good.
3 of us got the grilled 8oz NY Strip Steak Sandwich($14). It was not really a sandwich, but open-faced. The fried were awesome!I The steak was cooked perfect, and had a hint of garlic butter on it.
The plain pizza($13) was really good.We ordered this as an app. I heard they were making some good pizza, and we were not disappointed. Crust was crispy, cheese was not greasy, and with just the perfect amount of sauce. Also ordered the chicken milanese panini($9). It was a true panini, very tasty and crispy. Mixed drinks were about $7 for jack and coke. A little pricey.
Service was good, but could of been better, especially with out drinks. The place was not crowded for a Fri night. Prices for food seemed fair. The happy hour by the bar seemed to be the place to be.
We definitely want to go back and try the proscuitto and arugula pizza.

4 of us stopped for dinner and the food was great. I ordered a house specialty 'Pork Osso Buco' and it was fabulous served with Mushroom Risotto! Soaked up all the flaverful sauce with crispy crusty Italian bread! Served with a nice house salad the meal was perfect. The other dinners were enjoyed as much as mine. Our waitress was very friendly, courteous and attentive without being a pain. Frank( owner/manager) stopped at our table to make sure we were well taken care of and his wife was also floating around the room checking on diners. We will be back as we consider Rella's to be one of the best restaurants in the Forked River/Waretown area!

Well, as many know, Forked River doesn't offer too much in the restaurant department. To be honest there are only a handful of places in this vicinity that have a good reputation. Rella's is sort of the perfect in-between when you do not feel like going to the local townie place and you also aren't looking for anything over the top. The food is good and the atmosphere is casual. Sometimes they really get packed, I often have seen people waiting for a table and you need reservations for larger parties. Their menu includes 10 wines that are $20/bottle along with some better selections. They have everything from simple sandwiches and panini's to classic Italian meals that are usually $20.00 or less. I often get blackened sea scallops over a large salad and it is always good, and the fish is good quality. It is nice for kids because as I mentioned it can be as simplistic, like chicken fingers, wings and beer, to elegant as you choose. Their bar pies are very good! One night a week, not sure which one anymore, they have buy one get one 1/2 off and it is a good deal. Their regular size pies don't seem to be as good for some reason. The bar scene is nice compared to the one across the street....I wouldn't recommend it as my first choice if you are trying to impress a foodie, but we go often when we just want a good meal and don't feel like slumming it.

We didn't know what to expect of this newer area restaurant when we stopped for an early dinner after shopping. We were pleasantly surprised with the good food and service at Rella's in Forked River. My husband had fish and I had steak, both were excellently prepared and the sides of fresh sautéed mixed veggies and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Also, they serve Italian bread to die for--crispy and light. Their menu is extensive with many Italian selections which we'll try next time. My only negative and the house salad--too much iceberg, not enough baby greens, but dressings were good. Enjoy!
