This restaurant may looking unassuming from the outside, but walk in the door and you will find yourself in an attractive, well-designed restaurant to be warmly welcomed by the friendly chef-owner, Anna.
The menu is surprisingly large and diverse, offering excellent, authentic Portuguese food plus continental and American dishes served up plentifully with fresh ingredients and noteworthy culinary verve.
As examples, there are three different kinds of paella, each one pleasantly spiced, very tasty and loaded with delicious helpings of meat, seafood and vegetables. The seafood is exceptionally fresh and well-prepared in a range of styles to suit different tastes.
I sampled two of the chicken dishes and found them very tender and tasty, a comment I would make about everything ordered by the dozen or so people in our group, based on their very positive comments. From soup to dessert, we had an excellent lunch topped off with Anna's delicious pastries and, for those who still had room to indulge, one of the best flans you'll find anywhere.
Prices, considering both the quantity and the quality of the offerings, were quite modest. And the atmosphere was so pleasant, with Anna presiding over every part of this long, enjoyable meal, that I will make it a point to return when I am next in the area. It's worth the drive, even if you're not close-by, and it won't empty your wallet to dine there.
