Review of Popcorn Park Zoo

Fun time out with the kiddies here. The place is not big nor many animals to see. The entrance fee is nominal and keeps the zoo open. Not to mention the main reason the park is there, to assist in finding homes for cats and dogs. You can enter the viewing building and adopt a pet.

My husband and I took our niece and nephew (ages 7 and 5) and we all had a great time. It was much better than my husband and I expected plus it was inexpensive. The admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children. It's call Popcorn Park because you feed the animals popcorn (of course!). The popcorn is $2 for a small and $2.50 for a large. I recommend that everyone gets popcorn...its goes fast! We liked the zoo because you are much closer to the animals than in larger zoos and it makes for a peaceful day outside.

It's worth the ride into the middle of the Pine Barrens. I want to first say, that Popcorn Park is home primarily to "special" animals. The PPZ, is more of a sanctuary for animals, who if not for the Humane Society and all the volunteers there, would have been euthanized. There is no admission cost so to speak, other than the required purchase of a bag of popcorn upon entry. One of my favorites is the monkey section. It's such a riot to see these little guys so excited to get their popcorn, which you feed them. They have everything from deer to monkeys, ducks, geese and even a lion. It's a nice way to spend the day with little ones

I found it to be fun and interesting for a small local zoo. It exceeded my
expectations. Definately worth the visit.
