The room is clean and just the right size for the price. Front desk is helpful and approachable. There is no bell service on this hotel i wish the door has a sensor that will automatically opens. The restaurant is something that i don't like at all, THE SERVICE to be exact. They serve buffet breakfast from 8-11AM and while me and my family is still eating breakfast and we came late like 10am. Now it was 11AM already they will remove all the foods in the buffet table even if there are still guest who are not done eating. It is understandable that they will set up for lunch but PLEASE.. WAITERS, SHOULD ASK THE GUEST IF THEY ARE DONE EATING BREAKFAST OR WILL THEY STILL GET SOME FOOD ON THE BUFFET TABLE BECAUSE THEY WILL SET UP FOR LUNCH. They will remove the foods without letting us know. And employees will not greet a guest like Good Morning etc..

No free breakfast for the price of the room.

The tub drain is very slow, Furnishings are fine and the cleanliness of the room is just ok.

I booked this hotel for 5 nights on a business trip, taking my other half with me so we could visit NYC at the weekend.

The hotel itself is welcoming, clean and efficient, as are the bar areas.

The rooms are average, if a little dirty. A quick look under the bed confirmed the floor hadn't been cleaned properly for a while. The AC unit is very loud. However, this is not the worst place I have stayed while travelling on business in this respect.

We did not stay beyond the second night because there was an intruder in the room. My other half was screaming and I woke to find someone in the room, in the dark. This turned out to be the security guard, but this was a completely unacceptable and unforgivable intrusion. It was later explained that he entered the wrong room in order to turn off an alarm that was disturbing another guest. However:

1. He did not knock
2. He did not listen at the door to hear for the alarm
3. He did not read the room number on the door!
4. He came in unannounced
5. He did not switch on the light
6. He did not answer until I got up and shouted, when he announced he was hotel security while retreating

He is very lucky not to have been taken down.

I called reception immediately and was about to call the police. Reception did nothing. I had to speak to the front desk in the morning before heading off to work. The other half refused to go back to the room the entire day and remained in the lobby until we checked out.

Although the management were apologetic, the behaviour of security was idiotic at best, potentially criminal at worst.

Management promised to refund the prepaid future nights, but this was booked via hotels.com, part of Expedia. I chased up this refund 10 working days later (I was told it would be done by then) to no avail. There has not been any further communication from hotels.com nor the hotel, and no refund has been forthcoming from them - it has now been twenty working days.

Thank god for Amex Platinum - they have now refunded me directly.

Be warned.

I came to the area for a business trip. Three evenings during the week I went in to New York City to see my son who is a Sr at Columbia. ll three nights I had to call the desk and have them get me back turn by turn because of NJ jug handles, if you are not used to them they can be a challenge. All the young men rose to the challenge and got me back safe and sound. Good customer service and they only made fun of me slightly! Nice job, wish I had written down their names! Good stay!
