“Wonderful B&B”

We went to Main Street Manor for a last minute weekend getaway. It was the perfect choice! The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are so cozy. We went to visit Frenchtown and then a winery. Bought some bottles of wine and picked up so cheese and enjoyed them on the porch. It was a perfect night. Breakfast was fantastic, it was delicious and Donna and Ken couldn't have been more accommodating. They truly make you feel like you are visiting with family. The inn is a special place and we can't wait to go back!!!

My wife and I spend 2 weekend nights at the Main Street B &B to celebrate our 29th Anniversary. I have to agree with all of the positive comments made by others on this WEB site. This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and at first we both had some reservations about it, but now are both very pleased with our choice to stay here.
This B&B is a great blend of a well kept Victorian home with all the modern conveniences you would want for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. We were welcomed warmly and treated like family coming for a visit by our hosts Donna and Ken.

We were in the English Rose room during our stay which was tastefully decorated in Victorian style with pillows, toy bears, ceramics, a LCD TV set on top of an old Singer sewing machine and an antique table with 2 chairs. These special touches included a commemorative Anniversary plate that was placed in our bedroom the night before our Anniversary. The English Rose Room also offers a private balcony that overlooks a small garden with bird feeders towards the back of the B&B and another Victorian home next door. We enjoyed sitting on this balcony each morning before we go out and before dinner at night.

After a day of touring the shops of Flemington, New Hope and Frenchtown – all in close proximity – it was so nice to return to the B & B to find all the goodies cooked and prepared by our hosts for the guest to enjoy - delicious fresh baked cakes, pies and cookies with a warm cup of coffee. After returning from dinner we would sit on the veranda in the front of this Victorian home facing Main Street till the sun would go down.

Each day we noticed our hosts would make slight changes to the décor of the B&B – the color of the china used to serve breakfast each morning, the pillows on the chairs on the veranda, etc- just to keep things fresh and inviting for their guest during their stay.

Interestingly, on the first night of our stay there was a couple who had eloped and was to be married in a private ceremony at the Bed and Breakfast that night, with our two inn keepers serving as theirs witnesses. We learned from our host that weddings and elopements like this is not uncommon at this B & B. They offer special wedding packages for those wishing to do this.

Each morning the guests would gather to eat in the dining room for a gourmet breakfast, served family style, and prepared from local fruit and vegetables. Everything about the breakfast was well done from the decorations on the table to the breakfast itself.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the B & B and the special effort of our host to make our stay pleasant and our anniversary memorable.

Room Tip: We really like the English Rose Room because of the private balcony. But with the nice spacious vera...

Main Street Manor B&B Inn is a collage of everything Flemington, from agriculture (only local and fresh ingredients used for cooking tasty meals) and antiques (unique pieces pervade the home), to the inviting charming landscape (reminiscent of the nearby wineries and wine is always available to guests). The location is central to Flemington and Ken and Donna are very knowledgable about the area and eager to share points of interest. We really enjoyed our weekend stay. Ken and Donna's genuine openness and attention to detail make this B&B worth experiencing again and again.

Room Tip: The balcony of teh Rose Room made a great breakfast nook...

From the time you walk into this very quaint, pristine clean home you will feel like you are being invited in by a dear friend. I cannot say enough about the hospitality that you will receive from Donna and Ken. Our room was immaculate with modern conveniences; flat screen TV with cable and air conditioning. Coffee, tea and iced tea were made available at any time of the day along with fresh baked cookies and pie which was made by Donna. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious!

Room Tip: The English Rose has a side porch which is ideal for reading a book late afternoon.

Pristinely clean, quaint and inviting inn, with just enough “modern.” like air conditioning, added for a perfect inn stay. Bountiful and tasty breakfast and snacks prepared with items collected from the many surrounding local farms; food and drink are always available. Add the most delightful and area knowledgeable hosts Donna, Ken and Quincy – and you have vacation magic! We have stayed at many inns- this is one of the best of the best!

We use Trip Adviser all the time and have stayed at over 100 Bed and Breakfast locations throughout our US travels. We have learned that while good reviews are important to read, it's important to see what unhappy consumers have to say. As we didn't see any unhappy people we booked for 5 nights feeling safe in making that decision. We weren't sure there would be enough to do and we rarely stay 5 nights in one place. Look no more - we returned feeling like we had made new friends and felt great about our stay. Donna and Ken couldn't have been better hosts. It is obvious they like what they do and take a great deal of pride in making sure the guest feel the same. The "bed" part was wonderful and my husband and I slept well and the "breakfast" part was outstanding each and every day. If that didn't keep you going all the goodies left in the open room were always available. The location is an easy walk to some good places to eat and a wonderful point for exploring small towns in NJ and PA. Donna gave us good ideas for local things like the lavender fields tour and a wonderful place for checking out breads and cheeses as well as honey products. In short, great trip and we wouldn't stay anywhere else if we were looking to be anywhere near this area!

We spent one night here, and found this B & B to be very good. It's located on a lovely street where there are many beautiful homes of diverse architecture. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to downtown where, surprisingly for a small town, there are two excellent fine dining establishments with creative menus. The house is well preserved, with nice furnishings. There is plenty of paved free parking in the back. Our Morning Glory Room was average-sized, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had all the amenities you would expect, with a very nice shower. The TV perhaps could be a bit larger. The gourmet breakfast was excellent.

We are long-term B & B travelers, and understand how important the innkeeper is to the overall experience. It's always appreciated when the innkeeper greets you with enthusiasm, gives you a nice tour of the house, and answers all your questions on dining options, etc. This is what we experienced with Donna. On a 16 day trip we stayed in six B & B's and several hotels, and Donna had the most positive attitude of anyone at the B & B's we visited. We also enjoyed talking to Ken at breakfast. Flemington is a nice town to spend a night or several, and Main Street Manor is an excellent B & B.

Room Tip: Our room faced Main Street, but was still very quiet at night.
