Very good hotel experience and restaurant in the hotel was very good. Typically a hotel restaurant is fair at best but this one had a good varied menu and attracted a lot of non-hotel guests but I was able to get right in and service and food was very good. The hotel staff is friendly and efficient

A very nice hotel overall. The pool and hot tub are very small, but clean. Decent workout room. Suites are above average for this class of hotel, and very clean. Staff is excellent and attentive. Complimentary breakfast is average, but certainly acceptable.

I stayed at this hotel in room 113 for 5 days. The Hotel overall was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the main lobby is nice, it has a swimming pool which was also clean and a nice little restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. It has plenty of parking even for tour buses! I know I drive one. All the passengers were happy with their stay no one complained.
The only thing that wasn't great was the breakfast, the powdered eggs and greasy sausages weren't the greatest but powdered eggs seem to be an ongoing thing with the Hampton inn's for some reason, what a shame. The other thing I wasn't happy with is that my room didn't have a safe.
Directions to New York City. This hotel isn't too far from NYC however if you are using pubic transportation it's a little inconvenient because there is not train near by to take you to NYC therefore you have to take the Lakeland bus which takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic or take a New Jersey transit bus to Newark Penn station and take the train from there which takes even longer. If you take the Lakeland bus it's $10.15 each way to NYC and the stop is pretty much beside the hotel right by the Hess Gas station.
Driving into New York, if you use your GPS it will tell you to follow route 46 to route 3 to the 495 and into the Lincoln tunnel. This is the shortest route but not the fastest. I noticed during rush hours it gets jammed up that way, especially in the morning and so does the I80 East to the I95 south because everyone is driving into the city. What I found worked great was take the I280 through Newark over to the 95 North and then go 495 east into the Lincoln tunnel. There are a lot less vehicles going into the city from the south then from the north, you might hit some minor delays but nothing serious. Looking at the map it may seem like you're doing a loop but it is much quicker. From the hotel you must take route 46 west hang a right on to Hook Mountain rd north, then a quick left on to Broomfield ave. Follow Broomfield ave west for 2 minutes then make a left on New rd. (reason for the little jog is because you can't make a left from route 46 west onto New rd south).Follow New rd.south to the I280 east. Follow I280 east to the I95 North look for signs that say "Lincoln Tunnel" follow the signs to the 495 and into the Lincoln tunnel. You will hit traffic on the 495 but that's unavoidable during rush hours. Upon return cross the tunnel into New jersey follow 495 west to I95 south, to the I280 west (Newark), follow I280 west to New Rd. north and east on route 46 to the hotel.
Take this route only during rush hours during off peak hours just follow route 46 to route 3 into the 495 to the tunnel and on return do the opposite.
I would stay there again because for the price it's a pretty good place if you don't mind the commute to NYC, next time I will just skip breakfast and go to 6 Brothers Restaurant down the street on route to New York City.

Room Tip: Nothing near an Exit/Entrance, Second floor is a little more quite, being on the main floor I could sometimes hear people flushing their toilet. If you need a safe ask if your room has one because mine didn't.

I stayed one night for business in the area. Convenient to many areas and my room was clean and quiet. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel (I stopped before I got to the hotel and picked up Panera-since most Hamptons don't have restaurants). I wish I hadn't and eaten there. It looked really good. Evidently a family owned place that people come to the restaurant that live there. I would stay here again if in the area. The only negative was the room was a little awkward-the microwave and fridge are between the desk and tv so it made it impossible to sit at the desk and work and watch tv-not good for the business traveler.
