“Terrific food, atmosphere, and price!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We went here for a birthday dinner, and it was our first time. What a surprise! The atmosphere was wonderful, and we felt like we were in a much more upscale setting. The outside is a storefront so we didn't know what to expect.
Very classy looking tables, tablecloths, romantic lighting, white curtains separating dining area room, fresh bread and made your own olive oil dipping sauce with grated parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes. Delicious start!
We shared the calamari which was crispy and not at all greasy or chewy, like it can often be in restaurants. We enjoyed both our entrees, chicken cacciatore and chicken sorrentino. There was plenty to wrap up and bring home for the next day. We didn't do dessert as we had a birthday cake waiting for us at home but saw some some awesome ones being brought to other tables. Our waiter was also terrific. Attentive and funny.
The best part? It's a BYO! We enjoyed a nice bottle from home and our entire bill came to around 50 dollars, which felt like a huge bargain without paying 9 or up for a glass of wine. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

“The best food and service!”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Our group decided to try a new restaurant around our work and let me say, no dissappointment from the group were spoken, this restaurant is unbelievably service oriented, the food is superb and the atmosphere is wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves so much and planning to go back very soon. Our waiter, Barry-- cannot say enough about how nice and accommodating he was, he went beyond to offer his best service and provide a great experience. Thanks Barry!! it's BYOB!!

“Rubber Glove in Eggplant Dish”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

We catered our parents 55th Anniversary dinner from Marsilios Kitchen this weekend and there was a rubber glove in the eggplant rolotini....inexcusable. We will NEVER order from this place again....hopefully, no one gets sick from this malfeasance.

“the total package”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

The first notes I will sound here are ones of graciousness and welcome. That we were a party of six arriving at different times converging from different locations didn't cause the waitstaff to miss a beat or diminish the reception each of us received. As we dribbled in in twos, our waiter greeted each duo warmly, inquired about drinks, and repeated specials. We brought a couple of bottles of red wine with us, had one uncorked, but also accepted the waiter's recommendation of a white (melange) from a vineyard in Unionville, I believe, since one of our party only drinks white wine. The wine was quite good. The waiter was excellent.

I must rave about the food. The table bread was perfect (spongy and crusty) and was accompanied by an obviously high quality olive oil, some fresh grated parmesan, and some crushed red peppers. How wise: each of us could construct our own dipping preference. And we did. The appetizers were great: an order of their version of oysters Rockefeller (terrific), an order of the cold seafood salad (tasty!) and an order of calamari with hot cherry peppers and two different sauces (again, all folks' tastes were satiated). The next course, the house salad, was fine; nothing to exclaim about. But the entrees were outstanding. A couple of us had the hot (in temperature, not spice) seafood linguine which we loved. Two lobster tails, two split crab legs, and lots of shrimp and scallops on top of linguine in a light tomato sauce made for a delectable (and bountiful!) dish. Another in our party ordered the chicken cacciatore and was extremely satisfied (and she is very picky about cacciatore!) Rounding out the order was the veal chop (kudos from that member of the party), filet mignon (high praise) and the "can't decide" seafood (crab cake, salmon and shrimp which our party member loved). The "can't decide" options for both appetizers and entrees struck all of us as a stroke of genius. And every entree, aside from the seafood and linguine, was under $30. For some, entrees at the high 20s price point may seem high (and this is Trenton, er, Ewing, NJ) but the quality merits the price in this instance.

A few members had dessert -- I remember seeing cannolis and lava cake and hearing very positive comments -- but I was way too full (and fully satisfied with my meal) to indulge.

Although this was a Friday night, nothing was rushed. And the service remained attentive throughout but not overbearing in the least.

“If you knew Chambersburg, you would love Marsilio's Kitchen”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Probably the best Italian Restaurant in the Trenton, NJ - Bucks County, PA area in terms of menu offerings, service and price. Marsilio's Kitchen has a long and well earned reputation dating back to tjhe finest Italian restaurants in the Trenton area known as "Chambersburg". No fakers allowed here. Only the finest sauces, crispiest breads, tenderest meats and best in homespun service could survive.
