“Places like the New Ewing Diner is why I love living in New Jersey.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

I'm a night owl who doesn't like to cook, but in New Jersey that's A-OK! Being the home to the most diner per square mile and probably the most 24hr. restaurants, separating yourself from the pack in New Jersey is a difficult proposition, but the New Ewing Diner does it in style.

It was remodeled to have a very 50's outside, and it looks attractive. Inside is attractive, but nothing to write home about. The parking lot is a little strange, with about 6 spots having a special entrance, but you'd have a hard time finding a bad spot.

They have a typical diner menu with WAY too many options if you don't have an idea already what you want to eat, and it boasts 64 different types of 5 egg omelettes. The one I usually order is #26, Pete's Omelette that has mushrooms, spinach, feta cheese, sausage, bacon, and pepperoni. It's tasty, they cook it fast, and they cook it right. Portions are really big, too!

Service is generally good to very good, but nothing to write home about, with coffee and refills plentiful. I usually come in with a group of 10 and they're able to handle us immediately without skipping a beat. Price is just right, maybe even on the cheap side, for the amount of food you get.

“Great Value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2012

We are regulars at the Ewing Diner. Diner's are not gourmet retaurants - they provide good food, at reasonable prices and in good quantity - Ewing Diner does all three well. A great feature is that every meal comes with a bowl of excellent soup - this along with substantial portions guarantee a hearty meal and usually leftovers. Staff are attentive and the owner is always checking to make sure everything goes well. Their sandwhiches - most under $10 are a great dinner choice - and substitutions are never a problem. All in all a great value!

“Went just for breakfast, but what an eating experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2012

Stopped in while passing through town and looking for breakfast. After going over their large menu, decided to have lunch instead (available at 10AM). Found the portions to be huge, with for all three of us having enough to leave with. We were all delighted with how great our meals tasted. Our server was extremely friendly and pleasent, making us all feel important as customers. Definitely planning to go back soon... wife want to go there for her birthday!

“Good food, reasonable prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2011

One of the things I love about my frequent trips to New Jersey is the chance to eat at one of Jersey's ubiquitous dinners. This is one of the best. The place has been completely remodeled and enlarged after having been closed for about a year. Service is friendly and efficient, and the place is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. Breakfast, in particular, is absolutely amazing. For $7.95 I had 2 eggs, any style, two large fluffy pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, a large piece of delicious sausage, a small orange juice, and coffee. This put to shame the identical breakfast I had had the day before at a shabby pancake place just down the road at a higher price. They offer approximately 25 different four-egg omelets, all from $7 to $10. Lunch and dinner selections are huge and very good. We and many other customers often leave with "doggie bags" with enough left over for the better part of a meal the next day.

“Always consistent quality!”

I am a frequent guest of the Ewing Diner. You can always be assured of a great meal (and enough to take home). The owners are always on site and ready to help if you need anything.
